Nht 2.3 speakers
Hi ... let me see if I can help ... the 35hz to 25Khz @86db is the rating for the entire speaker .. the entire speaker requires a minimum 30w  to be driven and can handle up to 200w ... it's average impedance is 4 ohm but that will fluctuate .. so...

phase linear amplifiers
but i've never had any issues with it until it fried my speakers with "dc" current" and there was no warningServicing the amp wouldn't have helped protect your speakers from the DC that blew them ... all the Phase Linear 400 .. D500 and 700 series...
Lack of bass in NHT 3.3.
NHT 3.3s are very position specific ... according to the manual  you must place the back of the speaker 3 inches from the back wall  so the speaker and the wall create a corner ... the corner gives you a 3db boost in the bass region and this has b...
What causes a chirp?
Peter ... I once had a pair of Sota 3 way speaker that I wired backwards .. sent the power from the amp to the woofer and then jumped the midrange from the woofer and jumped the tweeter from the midrange ... this created quite a draw on the woofer...
What causes a chirp?

I had the same problem the OP had and more … if I clicked on the “For Sale” ads and scrolled down and then clicked on an ad I wanted to view … when I exited it would return me to the very beginning or top of the page as if I just clicked on … same...
Why warm amps sound better.
It's the transistors that need to warm up and reach thermal equilibrium so they can maintain the correct output bias while achieving thermal stability  maybe Almarg or Atmasphere will stop by and explain in depth
CARY SACD Pro CD skipping Issues
Way to go Jake ... I'm glad you finally took my advice and cleaned up the guide rails from my earlier post  ... this skipping is a very common problem when the factory lubricant dries up on the laser guide rails ... causing the laser sled to stall...
