Neutral electronics are a farce...
Wolf, maybe you miss my point?  It's all relative as are concert hall sounds.  What you can do is put together a system that does the least harm to the signal and have a listening environment that allows for a balanced output.  I use natural furni...
Devialet Premier D - Red colour Display before it distorts and no sound right after
Return it!
Serious Krell amp question for those who really know Krell amps
Love the new sound because it is more faithful to the sound of instruments and remains evenhanded across the frequency range.  Dynamics are actually improved and tonality is dead on.  You appreciate the sound more and more the longer you listen......
Neutral electronics are a farce...
A lack of overemphasis in any one frequency domain and an ability to remain truthful to the timbre and tone of instruments!  That is neutrality and can only be had by a systems approach to playback...including power and room acoustic parameters.
Integrated decision - dartzeel or gryphon
D'Agostino or save some money and try a Krell Vanguard from Music Direct with return option.  I've had some 5 figure gear that does not compare to the Vanguard!  Listen for yourself and then decide.  Sim and Rowland aren't too shabby either.
The best speaker you ever heard?
Got my hands on a vintage pair of Krell Resolution 2 speakers and they have turned my idea of what a home system can deliver upside down...or is it downside up?  Spooky staging, unrestrained dynamics and tonal perfection with uber-palpability!  Th...
Similar sound characteractics to MIT cables?
Current MIT products offer more of everything compared to normal wire.  Dynamics and low level detail are hallmarks of their design as well as correct tone and lack of distortion.  Joe Abrams at Equus audio is an invaluable asset for audio informa...
Is there Really a difference between a Krell 400xi intergrated amp and the newer Vandgard?
On the other hand, it goes without saying that not much can equal or out perform a 700CX!

You are incorrect Audiolabyrinth!  I also talk to Bill and Krell invested in a new facility in Orange, CT. To make all their products in the USA!  Previous 2 generation integrateds were Chinese made:()
Bowers and Wilkerson B&W 802 D3: an impolite Brit?
Ok, so I sold my 802D2's and picked up a pair of Krell Resolution 2 speakers on the used market.  I had heard them when they first came out and was very impressed but not in an environment conducive to a large floor stander.  After having owned Wi...
Your jaw dropping cables
Just installed my new MIT Oracle 3.5 Prolines which now incorporate MIT's latest advancements with the 2C3D tech.  No other interconnect I have ever heard or owned has struck me as sounding absolutely faithful to the sound of real instruments bein...
What used speaker would you buy with $20,000-$35,000 and why?
I would suggest a used pair of Krell Resolution 2 speakers.  I prefer them over the WP 6's and B&W802D2's I owned.  Spend the extra money on cables, amplification and a great source!
Universal Players vs. Dedicated CD/SACD Players
Got my Cipher....unfreakin believable!!  Whole other realm of musical enjoyment.  So lifelike it's spooky!  Purchased it from Steve at Highperformancestereo for $7999.  Brand new and full 5 year warranty.  Steve has been a certified Krell dealer f...
Is there Really a difference between a Krell 400xi intergrated amp and the newer Vandgard?
Saying you spoke to Patrick and that he said it was built in China and that the voicing is terrible is a lie!  I happen to know Patrick and have discussed the current lineup with him and find your inferences at odds with reality!
Is there Really a difference between a Krell 400xi intergrated amp and the newer Vandgard?
First of all, the Vanguard and all their current line is made in the USA!  The older s-550 and s-300 and matching CD player were made in China.  As for the musicality, the sound is actually improved.  I've owned just about everything since the ori...
