Describe the "new HiFi sound"?
I have older recordings that used tube microphones and were completely analog…they are full of life and color dynamic range.  How things are executed is more important than the Tech DuJour!

Yamaha A S801 is a solid piece, sounds natural and has plenty of power and features.  Use the extra money for some music or an upgrade elsewhere.

What can beat Wilson XVX for less money?
JBL K2 Everest series can produce a large dynamic and totally convincing soundstage with sexy smooth tone.  More amp friendly and easier to place as well.

My Klipsch Cornwall IV’s are definitely old school but I am quite amazed at how well they throw such a large and wide soundstage.  They also have less phase issues compared to other high end speakers I have owned.  Relaxed, musical, detailed, dyna...
