Smoother bass by running woofer out of phase? Look, my humor aside...think about it..a 13 by 30 room?? The speakers themselves need at leats 10 t0 12 feet between them. Use the long wall and sit against the opposite side wall..your problems will go away!! Call Terry at Mapleshade for advice o...
Smoother bass by running woofer out of phase? Shum3s...hold yer horsies fella!! Funny how the obvious escapes most people, but not this here audiophile..no sir. What ya gotta do is move them pesky speakers to the long wall and sit within 18" of the opposite wall. Spread them out real good..10...
Why is Sony Digital sound more like vinyl? Had it briefly and found it to be a bit leaner than it's predecessor, but still a solid performer for $2000 discounted. My favorite under $4000 players are the MF A5 and Krell SACD standard.
Do true audiophiles own Mcintosh gear FYI, my response to Hifizgreat is predicated on the fact that the Krell 400xi/sacd standard are being run balanced. Removing the standard and or switching to single ended connections would null my opinion, even though the pair would still be compe...
Do true audiophiles own Mcintosh gear Hifizgreat, sorry friend but I just cleaned my ears and now my stuff sounds even better! Look, I've owned most of the Levinson, BAT, ARC, Krell lineup and the odd piece from CJ plus various budget lines like NAD, Rotel etc... Speakers have been To...
The best speaker you ever heard? Davidbigeye, they excite my passion for the music every time I fire up my system. What does the rest of your system consist of?
The best speaker you ever heard? The LAT-1000's are precisely what I'm talking about...they are balanced and musical! My Resolution 2's are cut from the same cloth.
The best speaker you ever heard? Pretty much every speaker anyones owned or heard is on the list! Balance is the key to musicality...not any one or two aspects of a design.
Review: Krell KAV 400xi Amplifier Agreed Manny55, but if you heard my rig currently you might be convinced that analog has nothing more to offer...especially when you consider the lack of noise, hum, feedback, tracking errors etc.. If ever in Pa, let me know:)
Do true audiophiles own Mcintosh gear Tennis actually requires more agility, concentration and endurance than almost any other sport known to man. Irrelevant, I should say not! Now Mcintosh gear on the other hand...maybe so:)
Do true audiophiles own Mcintosh gear Tea and crumpets would be nice, thank you.
Do true audiophiles own Mcintosh gear Hey Dbarger, I'm a vinyl guy as well...that's how I know what music reproduction should sound like. If you took the time to look at my review of the 400xi/sacd std combo you would understand my reasoning. This combo has a unique feature/design set...
Review: Krell KAV 400xi Amplifier I truly believe that the main problem with sound reproduction has been the advent of the compact disc playback technology. Vinyl sounded good even on cheap equipment. It is ironic then that I should find that same sort of musical sound on a relati...
