I'm selling a new pair of HT Truthlinks for $195...hard to beat!
Should I be worried if buying a 5-6 year old CDP?
Please consider the new Sony SCD XA5400ES CD/SACD player. It is an amazing player with near state of the art performance for $1180 street. I've owned Levinson, Wadia, Krell, BAT, ARC etc.. This unit is unique and incorporates some never before imp...

Almost forgot, what are you using for the source?
Narrowed speaker selection down to 5 choices
Oh my God, get the Sophias man...you will never regret investing in a Wilson speaker from either a sonic standpoint or a financial one. Wilsons are always sought after and they hold their value better than any:) Easy to drive as well!
AC Power Cord and Krell Pre
JM..2 is correct. Transparent would be my choice.
How to trick a player into reading SACD layer?
Sell it and get the new Sony SCD XA5400ES which plays everything flawlessly and with state of the art sound...I did:)
b&k amps
In my opinion, I would give them the nod as the go to value for amplification now that Krell has abandoned their design principles in favor of euro industry guidlines...in other words, the new amps suck! The B&K stuff was born out of some form...
Review: Sony SCD-XA5400ES CD Player
As the player has broken in it has really blossomed; so full of color, dynamic shadings galore, inner detail, grain and glare free, depth and imaging beyond reproach. This sucker challenges state of the art:)
Wilson Sophia 2's on Marantz Reference
Hansen sells their 3 way for $39,000 vs Wilson's Sophia for $15,000...now that's value:) What happened to my Swedish friend?
Review: Sony SCD-XA5400ES CD Player
RCA sounds best, compared to the balanced outputs...don't know why but that seems to be the case. I am strictly 2 channel so my opinions only reflect such a perspective. FYI, I am using my Oracle AC 2 power cord on it which don't hurt either:) I o...
Review: Sony SCD-XA5400ES CD Player
Steelhead, the Sony SCD-XA5400ES was just another experiment for me in the latest digital offerings available to us audiophiles. At it's price point, it was an easy decision to give one a try. What strikes me about the new Sony is how utterly comp...
audio research vt200 or Reference 110
They are decidedly prominent in the upper mids/lower treble, bordering on lean, which draws attention to itself at the expense of the music. VTM200's show up alot on the 'Gon and at dealers because they serve the spector of absolute neutrality to ...
audio research vt200 or Reference 110
Were talking about the VT200 stereo amp Stanwal, not that horrid VTM200 mono amps.
audio research vt200 or Reference 110
The VT200 is an amazing amp...probably one of the best ARC has made. It has authority and delicacy with great palpability. The new 6H30 based designs sound more solid state than tubelike. Stick with a winner:)
Mark Levinson 436 or McIntosh MC501 with B&W801-S3
I owned the MC501's with demanding Dyn C4's (similiar to 801's) and they bled their hearts out...no balls to these amps despite the supposed power rating.
