First foray into Class A amp -- recommendations
Mtrot: That's cool, it's hard to find a dealer that carries all of those brands. Yeah I wouldn't do that either if you're going to buy used.
Which speakers pair well for Onkyo A 9555?
Go for the Focals. I had the the Onkyo and I found it to have rolled off highs (without treble control in use,) imo.

I don't own Accuphase (yet) but have heard them at several consecutive CES shows. All I can say is they're the real deal. They are dynamic, transparent, and sublime. It's pretty damn realistic overall. With a great build and parts quality as well....

Also, consider the JBL Synthesis model S3900. I swear by JBL Synthesis. Not just because I own them (I own the bigger S4700s) but because I feel they're the best at their price points. Plus, the driver technology is second to none. Whether or not ...

Mbovaird, ok cool. Yes, that's what I've heard as well. And from what I've heard it doesn't make the sound bright or shrill. So yeah, it could be a great investment.
Pass Labs Amp X350.5 or X350.8 anyone compare?
That's cool...good to know.
