RCA vs XLR which would say is the BEST????? Well a potential problem doing this is XLR's do indeed generally produce a 3db gain over RCA's , so you may find yourself in a situation where the fronts over power the rears. Of course adjustments can be made on your preamp, but that can be a lit...
Punch in your votes: Krell KAV300i VS Class CAP151 Definetly Classe, if you primarily listen to CD's.
RCA vs XLR which would say is the BEST????? Abolutely correct balanced can reduce hum and is of course used by many musicians for stonger transfer of signal with long runs. However the poster will be running .5 to 1 meter.
RCA vs XLR which would say is the BEST????? Bryston is a great amp, but it is not truly balanced, and you are not using long lenghths so RCA's are just fine.
best pre/pro under $5,000 I second The Integra Research RDC-7. I own it. You can read a review of it online at Stereophiles Guite to Home Theater FEB 2001.
Ive got me the Digital Nasties Just to reinforce to other goners, after exteneded "Friday night turn up the volume listening" the difference moving all your powercords away from the interconnects is staggering ! Detail, layering of instruments, Im on a HIfi High ! Thanks again
Bryston Vs Classe Both Great products. Classe is truly balanced from input to output. Bryston is not. If your pre is truly balanced go Classe. If it is not, and you love the sound of the Bryston, tough to beat their 20 year warranty.
Ive got me the Digital Nasties The Nasties are gone. I had the thought , but Viggen cemented it in my head. I moved all the power cords away from the interconnects, and the detail has returned ! If you think about it, most equipment has the PC inlet on the left, so if your inst...
Ive got me the Digital Nasties All Good thoughts. Im going to digest them all, but my first experiment is to make sure all powercords have as little as possible contact with the Interconnects. I have had different results placing my equipment in different places of my rack. not...
Burn in time for Virtual Dynamics Cables I agree even if their cooked , they still take a long time to burn in. For a full month My Nites sounded way to bright......now awsome !
PC that wont change my amp's personality ? By Accident {they dont advertise it} I found out Classe sells their own upgraded PC for 200.00 , or their is one more expensive, specially made for their Omega line by Cardas. But my hunch was correct after talking to Arman, at Classe. For Classe ...
PC that wont change my amp's personality ? All very good thoughts. Some manufactures market certain cords for digital, power etc. Virtual Dynamics does not. On my Preamp , the Integra Research RDC-7 , which is of course a digital product, the VD sounds great. Now before I upgraded to the C...
Integra Research RDC-7 or Parasound Halo C2? Thats a good question, I do not know the answer. I can tell you that my priority as well is two channel. So what I did was get the best balanced amp that I could personally afford for the front two channels , a Classe 301, and I use an Anthem, whi...
Sacd / Dvda universal players The Denon, which has yet to be released, looks really promising. DSD digital converters and 17 pounds to boot. Can't wait to check one out.
The truth about interconnects - can you handle it? While I believe their are some great cables out there that can make an improvement in the sound of your system, I also believe their are some cable manufacturers that are fradulent, and their is no protection group to police it. And even if their ... |
