Class D is just Dandy! Nice thread Erik. I bought the ATI NC528 class D amp to replace an ATI 6012.Needed more power for the new woofers in my Linkwitz Lab Orion speakers. The Orions need 8 channels of amp. One for each driver. The 528 has linear power supplies. Someone...
Why are there no Reviews of the Pass Labs XP-22. Is there anyone with strong feelings? I have the Pass XP-22 driving an ATI NC528 class D amplifier. They work just fine together. The XP-22 has spot on tone, great soundstage and nuanced detail. The ATI just amplifies those characteristics.

So What Is Real? The most important aspect of any power cord, interconnect or speaker cable is conductivity. All other properties are secondary.I always orient my power cords and XLR cables correctly. So do you I suppose.Mark Waldrup could have a second career as ...
Vinyl woes / cartridge upgrade This might help you with static on vinyl.mapleshade static draining brush. This drains static away. Other brushes move it around. I love mine.

Only you expensive cable owners, is this real? You do not have to buy anything from Mapleshade. I have two Mapleshade racks, (love them) the static drain brush for my records ,(ordering another) some other tweaks and several CDs. The CD's have a great sense of presence and really capture the t...

Is Speaker design evolution stagnant I agree that active crossovers are excellent. Yes you need more amp channels. But multi-channel amps are readily available. Take Erik's advice and learn more about this. My suggestion is to check out Linkwitz Labs website. Linkwitz also eliminates...
Good monitor speakers for 300B amps. Check out Sonist Speakers. I have heard the Sonist Concerto 2 at the RMAF a few years back. Using DeHavilland SE tube amps. Stunning sound.
