Below 20 HZ Notes/Instruments Gentleman, to each his own. But, there are some fundamental reasons why subs are best placed in a corner. This doesn't mean jam it anywhere, of course, each room is unique. I just wish everyone could hear a good musical sub. Charlie
Stan Warren email? Last I talked to him he was not interested at all in having anything more than a phone number. When I recieved my Stan Warren modified DVD player the only way I could [sort of] prove it was to have you see the return address on the box. No sticker...
Best and Worst Reissue/Remaster CDs The worst I bought in 2001 was a "Japanese pressing" of Pink Floyd Animals and the remastered Led Zepplin Physical Graffiti. They are unlistenable and have no bottom end.Best is Who Who's Next on MCA and Brubeck's Time Out.Charlie

My experience with using a DVD as a transport I use a Pioneer DV-525 with a Bel Canto DAC1, (via toslink.) I also have a Stan Warren modified Pioneer DVD player in a second system. They both sound very good, the 525 with a Creek 5350SE and Harbeth C7s/M&K MX-700. Charlie
Optimum length for Toslink digital cable? I use a Toslink cable connecting a DVD player (as a transport) to a Bel Canto DAC1 so I cannot speak to any change in picture quality. I have used 3 different brands and two different lengths. When this was a "hot issue" the word was that 2 meter ...
