Absolute top tier DAC for standard res Redbook CD We've always had some twists and turns and we will get back to gear very soon. Of course the name was chosen for a reason. They love it when they get their free pub on boards as they don't have to have high overhead and can make affordable produ...
Absolute top tier DAC for standard res Redbook CD I think this is still top DAC. The Schitt isn't in this convo. Guys, I would counter that many of us have listened to it vs a few other similarly priced DAC's and we liked the Ayre Codex better. It also costs less at 1800. This is a very compe...
Absolute top tier DAC for standard res Redbook CD Great video's guys. To see them and knowing you from the thread as well as our friendship, really brings it all home for me. Thanks for making them.
Absolute top tier DAC for standard res Redbook CD Matt, I used to love those speakers lol. Too funny. That Brinkmann is a great Dac. I’ve heard it a few times. It really shined last year in the Vandersteen room at one of the shows. My Ayre QX 5 has a hair more detail, but it won’t touch the music...
Vandersteen Quatro CT I am using and loving the WEL balance into the Ayre and the CAstelrock speaker cables. I love the tonality and neutrality of the AQ cables. I've tried others in teh system and not liked them. I will be selling my AQ Niagara 1m cables and my 1.5...
Proac D48R One of my takes on Johnny's post is to make sure you see an equal sliver of the inside of the speakers wood. I owned many Proacs over the years and that's how they are supposed to be positioned. Let us know what you end up with
Absolute top tier DAC for standard res Redbook CD Matt, thanks for keeping the socks on. Will it be a different color for each video? PLEASE don't take them off!!!! Thanks for taking the advice to heart.
Absolute top tier DAC for standard res Redbook CD I bow down to all of you techies. This thread takes so many new directions and all are amazing and informative to say the least. I understand some of what you guys say, but I fully understand what my ears hear. Thanks to all of you for this bac...
Absolute top tier DAC for standard res Redbook CD Wow, thanks so much Steve. That's some awesome stuff. Not sure why some are so adamant to keep on trying to say R2R is always better etc... Guys, there are some great R2R DAC's. MSB as has been mentioned as well as what may or may not be the b...
Absolute top tier DAC for standard res Redbook CD George, why in the world would you make such a statement? There are many DAC's of all designs that sound outstanding. I've owned both types and like them. There are plenty of great designs right now from many manufacturer's.
Proac D48R I had the Supertowers and also 2 pair (from family members) of the Studio 1's if I remember correctly. Sold all of them and got the Vandersteen Treo's that Bob now owns.
Dealers hijacking the discussions lmao, No divorce at all. Love their gear and I may still keep the AX5/20. It's about whether I can afford the 15k for the new Vandersteen amp. I'd then also need a good preamp. I have to see if there is one in the 5k range, but that is a subj...
Dealers hijacking the discussions Yes, that's what others call a fanboy. Hate the term as 80% of the posters are fanboys or women then. why buy your products if you don't love them.
Dealers hijacking the discussions Bob, that sucked. I can't even go into it. Not on this board anyways.
Dealers hijacking the discussions Guys, I think the thread is about dealers and manufacturer's who use the internet for all or most of their marketing. It's pretty blatant that they do this. Many of us are fan boys (I still hate that term), but are open and change our systems wh... |
