Bo, I completely agree. I've found just a few in the business who care about quality and helping people. I spent the last year listening to everything I could so that I could sell off three of my systems and start from scratch. I didn't have a lot...

We are all older Matt, lol. John will be the first to tell you that, lol. I just recently met him and he blew me away with his knowledge. He's in sales, but he gets it. He wants everyone happy with what they buy. I've seen him go out of his way to...
Set-Up Advice for Vandersteen 1Cs
I assumed the 1's could be biwired. When you hear Richard himself talk about wiring, it's very interesting. His speakers definitely need to be biwired or you'll lose what you paid for. That's a must and anyone will tell you that.
Got an LP cleaner you want to make money on?
Oh, I used to teach sales, lol. I'm fully aware. I still use the advise of John at Audio Connection and a couple of other friends whom I trust. Most are still into vinyl, but their systems are out of my reach, lol.

Jonson, you really need to get in to listen to the Ayre and Aesthetix. I have listened to the Benchmark 2 vs these other two and there isn't a comparison. The A's are both musical, detailed not etched, non 'digital'. They sound like music. I have ...
audiophile help needed in CT
I think it's awesome that we all have real dealers who run stores where you can hear things and they can keep our investments going strong. That's why I will support dealers when I can.

It's interesting to hear the various interactions of cables on systems. Price isn't always the best monitor, however I have yet to hear another line of cable that is even close to AQ right now. You have to have good equipment as whatever your pric...

If John from Audio Connection sees this thread, he'll chime in. He's an expert at setting them up. I think he uses an inexpensive laser, but I'm not sure. I get my Treo's set up next week and will see. Are you biwiring them? If not, you need to or...

I go back and forth as it's what I do, lol. Interesting take on the ultrasonic tank. I wondered about letting them air dry and thought that would be a pain eventually. Does repeated cleanings harm the vinyl over time? Do you need to put anything o...
Best cheap speaker cables............again
I have to disagree with some of you who feel that solid core power cables will sound as good as or better than an inexpensive pair of AQ speaker cables. I've heard almost all the 'cheap', homemade cables out there over the years and NONE will stan...
The best speaker you ever heard?
I've never even seen a pair in person. I've only seen pics in magazines. Have you ever heard the new Vandy CT line? When I said best I've heard, I should have noted that. I like how you describe the Montana's though as to me, if you hear the speak...

Bo, I agree about looking for the best system within a budget. I've always gone that route. I never buy the top rated products etc...I listen to systems and go from there. I think most end up just getting top rated components because someone else ...

Very interesting. I assume you have used the MH770 CVT cables. I felt they were, at the time, the best I had heard with my Quicksilver mono's. I've been very happy with them, but I will have my new Vandy Treo's with AQ Castle Rock's in my system h...

Matt, I just spoke to John at Audio Connection for you and he would love to help. He has a few, but he will know what will sound best with what you are using in your system. he's great like that, just ask anyone who goes there. His number is (973)...
Got an LP cleaner you want to make money on?
thanks. I have seen the DYI sites and the 6.5L tank seems best so far. I also saw a 30 motor to use to turn it at the correct times. I read where a 60hz is better than the 40hz. Not sure about that, but the 40 is a lot less money. My wife is teh e...
