Got my baby back!
I guess that makes me vintage too, almost none of it was vintage when I bought it.
Eico ST-70 integrated amp
Thanks.CE had a couple, one that that looks reasonably like the original, but the temp rating is way below the originals.  They had a JJ Electronics one that specs better, but needs a clamp mount.I seem to remember an old saying something about ke...

The filter caps look original, they're Spraigue. It looks like filter caps with similar specs can be had for around $40 each.  Same uFD rating, slightly higher voltage rating.Maybe I'll give it a shot, I'm fairly handy with a soldering iron.

Thanks again to everyone for their suggestions. I now have en route to my listening room a new PS Audio S300 and a demo Emotiva XSP-1 Gen 2. Both for just slightly over what I was willing to spend on a power amp. I'm excited, this is the first...

I think I'm going to try the PS Audio S300.They made a very generous offer on a trade-in for my beloved but aged PS Audio 5.0 preamp.  And now the preamp search begins... ;)

Anybody have experience with the Emotiva X series amps?  How would they compare with other amps mentioned above?

@smodtactical I did find the PS audio s300 and it looks like a good possibility.  I have their 5.0 preamp and it's always been a very solid performer. The Bryston is a bit long in the tooth, I don't want a used amp that old, for obvious reasons....

@hgeifman My Amp is probably 35 years old and out of warranty.  Bryson quoted a ballpark figure of 400 plus shipping, I'm not sure it's worth fixing at that price.@limomngus Thanks for the useless post!

The Stratos looks very good on paper. I miss dealers though, nice to to and hear stuff, then even take one home for a week to try in the system.I see they have a money back guarantee, but they don’t really specify the fees upon return. Still, if i...
Cartridge Opinions - Sorry
I've always been a fan of Grado woodies, though I haven't heard their recent offerings.  I'm using an original Reference Platinum right now.
Need some turntable guidance
Thanks everyone for the advice.  I've been enjoying getting back to my analog system and rediscovering some of my records.I find myself wondering how I lived with digital only these past 15 years.  Probably because I don't really listen to digital...

From what I can tell, my bearing is in good shape, it's not the inverted type.  The old stethoscope test reveals it's dead quiet. And yes, I've started to research the newer inverted bearing and I've seen good and bad about it.I looked up VAS, and...

mulveling, Thanks. With the preamp, maybe, but using the Supex step-up transformer into the PS Audio, I never had reason to question it.  Now, maybe, but replacing the Bryston, which is the original generation 3b from the early 80's, would still be...
