Audio Equipment... the word Cool... and Life
Okay I'm back....EBM, Wolf_Garcia, Swampwalker, Mapman(I wonder if Geoff ever got back to him about what it is he knows that he should forget), Douglas schroeder, Learsfool, Rok2id, Elizabeth...I have to stop for fear I will insult the few not on ...

I wasn't insinuating, it was a real question.(I suppose a revealing one at that)...don't worry, we can't see you. My pics are...I'll look em up and get back to you.

Really? You think they were never caught in an uncompromising position? We're all cool, sometimes. I was in a casino with my son once. He was at the poker table, I was surfing; being about the second time I ever visited one. I came across a table ...
O.C.D. Speaker placement
Okay
Any Alice Cooper fans?
He fit in well in the 70's
O.C.D. Speaker placement
That may be so, but only as far as best room placement is concerned. The sweet spot is dependent on your listening position in relation to the speakers' direction. That doesn't change regardless of room placement.
Hafler DH-220 problems
Get in contact with Mitchell. His address; rollei@rogers.com. Good chance you have issues with the differential pairs in that amp. Explain to him exactly the same way. He has matched sets ready to install for very reasonable cost.
What country still has music?
Okay. But in keeping with what I perceive the OP's topic is, there comes a point where all variations, melodies, and especially harmonies according to what actually works, have been explored. After which "only" dissonance remains, not to be confuse...
O.C.D. Speaker placement
The drivers should be perpendicular to a line directed exactly to your ears. This will make the intersection appear slightly back from your position. Best bottom-end and sound stage when distance behind speakers to wall is the same as the distance...
What country still has music?
If you widen your definition of what constitutes music to infinity, then of course it's going to continually be recognized as such but you'll be desperately searching for ways to ascribe it as a pleasing experience. U2 was on the envelope from the...
Any Alice Cooper fans?
He was! Especially early on during the mannequin days. Not sure who was first, him or the Beatles.
What's your oppinion on bridging two channel amps?
I just had 3 Acoustat TNT200s rebuilt by Roy Esposito with added mono capability. Roy was part of the team that designed the amp so as Peter stated, implementation is key. These amps are excellent in stereo but better in bridged mono mode. Stable ...
What country still has music?
Actually, it's all garbage. Gotta seriously disagree with you on this one, Mapman. Early rock was melodic. Imo, if not for the long hair, the older generations would have embraced it. Fact is, the majority did later on join the crowd. Those who sa...
O.C.D. Speaker placement
There's no sweet spot if both speakers aren't zeroed in.
Difference in quality in products made in China?
I also have a MacBook Air with no issues. I replaced my MacBook with it which was 6 years old when it finally died. So I don't think quality control is an issue with foreign companies in China who care about their reputation.
