How to isolate turntable from footstep shake or vibration
A lot of people use some form of butcher block under their turntable, anything from a basic cutting board to dedicated audiophile offerings that have integrated isolation feet. Take a look at Butcher Block Acoustics, Isoacoustics, or Mapleshade Ac...
Single vs. Dual Subs
I have a small dedicated listening room with a single chair in it. I had a single REL sub and thought my setup sounded pretty darn good (Anthem STR, Merlin TSM’s), I decided to try adding a second subwoofer, the improvement was well worth the inve...
Torture test for a TT rig!
Few setups can flawlessly trac the Telarc 1812, so don’t read too much into your cartridge skipping over the cannon shots. If you want a good gauge of your turntable performance I’d recommend something like the HiFi News test record.

Audio output vs. headphone.
Sounds like everything works except the Aluratek module, seems like it’s the culprit.
Streaming - Total fail (rant)
I have a one word solution to your problem- SONOS.
Recommendations Please: Bookshelf Speakers no Larger than 7"x12"x8"
Pretty strict size requirements and a small budget. I was going to suggest the Pioneer SP-BS22 bookshelf speakers but they’re slightly oversized. Good luck
Bolting speaker with stand
The fact the you’re getting so little thread contact on the right speaker tells me that feet are meant to be off.
Bolting speaker with stand
If the speakers were meant to have the rubber feet remain then your argument is valid. If KEF’s intent was for the feet to be removed than it’s just an issue of manufacturing tolerances. If KEF says to remove the feet perhaps that’s the solution. ...
