If you have not heard it, you owe it to yourself to audition one.Currently I am using an Onkyo DVD as a transport, Chord DAC 64, the Mistral SE, and Talon Audio Khites in my "music only" system. I also have...

Best Blues Rock recommendations? I'll add a second recommendation for the Bloomfield, Kooper, Stills, "Super Session" album. The two cuts of Albert's Shuffel, and Season of the Witch are worth the price alone. This is the album I would own, if I could only have one.The second alb...
Are Definitive Technology BP 3000 TL worth their I own Def Tech's for my home theatre and would buy them again. I have the BP-30's in front, CLR-2000 center, and BP-10's in the rear. Solid State Integrated in 1500- 1800 range ? I am adding a second vote for the LFD Mistral SE. I have the one Sam Tellig used for his review (paid $1,250, I think)and I am very happy. The SE is rated for 80 WPC but plays much larger. Mine does not have a phono stage, so I got a Rega FONO (Br...
What's a great univ/prog. remote for high end ? I have a Phillips Pronto and I don't even know where the other six remotes are!
Inexpensive Amp and Speakers If the sub is powered it probably has it's own crossover, run it off of a line out (tape, etc.) and set its' crossover a bit higher than your speakers low end. That is, if your speakers are rated to 45, set your sub at 50. Experiment.
Inexpensive Amp and Speakers One of the audiogon featured dealers, AV123.com, sells the Swan M-200 ($299 new). I have not heard them but they have some very good reviews. One of the reviews is on Audioreolution.com, and has a link to the web site.Dave

Speaker Cable Too Short What to do? The solution is obvious, buy a second system to fit the cables you have, and longer cables to fit the system you have. Now, wasn't that easy!
Still Contemplating New Amp Choices.. Larry:For my home theatre, I also have Def Tech's all around. BP-30's front, BP-10's rear, and a matched center. As I don't have the bass you do, I run a couple of Carver Sunfire Jr's to fill that need. My amp is a Carver Cinema Grand and I am ver... |
