2 subwoofers?
I have 2 JL f113's. When I first got them I played around with the difference between one on, and then both on. The bass is certainly much fuller with two subwoofers. You can get away with one, but two are better. You'll be able to achieve a much ...
Can anyone compare the Pass x250.5 to the Devialet
I should also mention: my speakers are the T+A Criterion 110s. 88db 1w/1m. My pre-amp is a Classe CP-800. 2 JL-f113 subs handle everything below 80z. Source material is all digital via usb from a Mac Mini.
What's a good alternative to Pass Labs?
Hey Tom6897, can you link me to the review that called them shouty? I don't think I across that one.
What's a good alternative to Pass Labs?
04-20-14: Abrew19Colonel, did you say less bright and less warm at the same time?Let me rephrase. With regards to warmth, there is a little to much warmth in the mid-range--it's especially apparent in women's voices with medium-higher pitch. Also ...

HAHAHA Schubert you're a funny guy
subwoofer for music?
OP last word of advice: do lots of research. Unlike Speakers, demoing isn't enough with subwoofers. You can have that $36K 18" Magico subwoofer, and it can sound like shit in your room. You need to go online and read as many reviews and figure out...
subwoofer for music?
I think I can sort of get the "REL is cheap" sentiment if you're a person who listens to bass heavy music. The truth is the g1 & g2 fail miserably when you try to feed them bass heavy music. Where they excel is for those people who listen to a...
subwoofer for music?
REL & JL are the two best in my humble opinion. They're both "fast"--i.e. they can be set to be in near perfect phase with the speaker, they are both very musical, and they both go down to the bottom. Here's where they differ: The JL offers wa...
Tyler speakers for a Dynaudio fan?
I'd check out the Criterion or Solitaire line from T+A. It's like a cross between a Dynaudio Speaker and a Revel; slightly warm with amazing resolution.
Does anyone own the T+A CRITERION TCD 110 S?
09-19-13: Tls49However, the mid bass seemed to be a bit distant. This may be a characteristic of the speaker since the Simaudio mono blocks have been described as being ballsy with a rich and robust bass. Are you thinking a different amp would sol...
PMC vs. Salk Sound Speakers. Which is better?
I'm in the market to listen to some PMC speakers, as they've been by & far the most recommended speaker from people on various forums. This thread seems to echo a lot of my price/looks thoughts; they seem like they're extremely expensive speak...

09-11-13: Raindog031dynaudio speakers "too colored"...well i have to disagree with that...i found sonus faber, harbeth, bowers colored...dyns one of most natural speakers ive heard and differently sounding with different amps and cabling...true t...
What speakers work best with electronic music?
09-11-13: JafantCol -both Dynaudio & Focal/JM labs are excellent speakers for tronica music. I have to disagree. If we're talking 80's synth pop "electronica,' then sure, Dynaudio or Focal are great. More so with Dynaudio, the speakers are a ...

If you were to compare the Zu's to any other speaker on the market (preferably one that's easier to demo), what would you compare it to?
