Time for a new deck
So I just checked out the Concept, and it looks great! And I'm definitely looking to upgrade the preamp, I think first though is to purchase a decent table though. Right now, I have a Audio Technia little 70 dollar preamp, that does it's job, but ...

New2Analog - Table Setup Help?
Also being new to the analog thing, i learned quick that even with a deck set up "right" out of the box, still needs to be fine tuned. make sure the cartridge is aligned properly, the tracking force is correct, and vta...my current deck doesn't al...

ahh, i have heard that before, and sounds like a plan. all ive heard alot about is actually alligning the cart, as far as overhang goes and stuff. what about azmiuth? that i have no clue on how to go about or what its purpose is.

its an older table, there is no vta adjustment as far as i know unfortunately

well, its an old jvc a-l31, dont know the arm length. the vta isnt adjustable on my deck, so im not worried about that. its one of the thinner straight arms though. my cartridge is a audio technica of some sort. i know its probably not a great car... 
understanding phono cartridges
yeah, 60 bucks on ebay brand new...but that will work well on a thinner arm like the one on my jvc?

well...over 1000 bucks for a cart is a bit much for me..haha by my standard, thats not so much modest as it is high priced...im talking under 200 bucks here. (i got my turntable for 40)

man...thats great...i have an old marshall guitar amp that needs to be retubed and somethings messed up with the inputs...ill have to have him look at that as well.
