Thoughts and experiences on the Spendor SP100 R2
I bought a demo pair with stands from a dealer in my area last year and love them. They do everything extremely well with no listener fatigue ever. Maybe not headbanger speakers but I do listen to a good deal of album rock on them. Outstanding on ...
Forever speakers around $5000
Different kit but same search earlier this year. After home audition of both, purchased Spendor A7s; preferred over D Series. Had previously ordered Ohm Walsh 2000 Talls, but sent them back.
Spendor D7
My Spendor experience was just the opposite. After hearing both the D9 and A7 at an audio show, I had a home audition of both of the exact sets of show speakers. I was set on the larger full range D9s, but wound up purchasing A7s. They just sounde...
WAF Speaker suggestions
+2 Spendor.
Most impressive small footprint speaker
+1 Spendor. I choose the A7 over the D9.
What was your first big eye opener with regard to audio?
While inquiring about another component, dealer suggested PS Audio Directstream JR DAC. I bought it, And Everything Changed. It was like listening to Dark Side of the Moon for the first time. Have since upgraded to SR and DMP.Second was at the Flo...
Spendor A-Series Optional Grilles
I recently purchased the A7s, and ordered the grills a month later. Very well designed, magnetically retained, look great and I cannot notice a difference in SQ. Just nice having those drivers protected from the unforeseen occurrence.
Spendor D7 vs. Spendor A7
I had home audition of the A7s and D9s. I purchased the A7s for my 15'x24'x8' room. To my ears, the A7s just sounded more musical. I preferred high frequency and imaging of the A7s. I had the coin and space for the D9s, but just preferred the A7s....
Small Floorstander?

Thanks for the recent replies! Not sure why, but the Jades are really singing now. Maybe I just had to get the cerebral equipment to settle in. Depth and imaging have never sounded better. This speaker line seems to have came and went rather quick...
Another Speaker Recommendation Request
Thanks again to all who have take the time to respond. And once again the consensus is . . . no consensus! That's what I love about this hobby. I did e-mail Spatial Audio and got a call back next day from Clayton Shaw. I am very intrigued with the...
Another Speaker Recommendation Request
Thanks so much to all who have responded, very much appreciated. Much to digest here! I must say, open baffle speakers were not on my radar (or even in my scope of familiarity) but they sure are intriguing.Vandersteen Quatro has long been on my dr...
A lot of hype about PS Audio, deservedly so ?
My first PS Audio purchase was the DSJr, and it was a transformative experience. Using an old Cambridge Audio CD player as transport into this DAC was amazing. Even the wife took notice! Upgraded to DSD and DMP. Like other posters, I cannot believ...
