MC loading at 47K HI All,After a lot of switching around of loads I have settled in the 80Ohm or 100 Ohm setting. %0 ohm seem too thick and slow and 80-100 seemed spot on. As I went higher 200, 300, 400 and 500 Ohm the sound became more "shrilley for my likings". I...

MC loading at 47K Thanks RCCC for the help.I'm trying to imagine how your plug in will work?If possible, can you email me a diagram and I will rig something like this up.Cheers
MC loading at 47K Thank you all for your input, much appreciated.I will try and adding a resistor to the RCA input (I presume I just attach on end of the resistor to the positive and one to the negative). Is this correct? To get 100 Ohm loading on the cartridge (sta...

Dynaudio Confidence 5 vs Harbeth Thanks all for your input...I don't mind the bluntness...best to get straight to the point. Just bloody hard here to get any speakers to audtion at home. And hearing speakers in the shop is nothing like at home as we all know.Yep thinking of downs...
Dynaudio Confidence 5 vs Harbeth Hi Ryder,Remeasured last night, 14ft by 14ft.Still small but they go OK in this room. Need to add sound proofing down the track.Cheers
Dynaudio Confidence 5 vs Harbeth Hi Semi,I'm driving the C5 with 220A of calls A tubes per channel. They really sing well with this much power, but I'm looking at down sizing to a smaller speaker due to my small room. maybe the C1 would be a better option.Cheers
Dynaudio Confidence 5 vs Harbeth Thanks Ryder,You described the Proacs spot on, way to much in the extended top end. It drove me from the room.I will give this more thought. As I mentioned I would be buying these on the "blind" as no one has them in Australia (for whatever reason...
Proac Tablette Ref 8 Sig Vs 1SC Nice speaker...just a bit to forward in my system (all tubes).....Compared to the Dynaudio C5 its night and day in the favour of the C5. Then again it should be that way as they cost X10 as much here in Australia.Found the Proac a bit to bright co...
Atma-Sphere MA2 Mk2.3 / Krell KSA 250 / Passlabs? Well I got the Ma-2's and they EASILY drive the C5...no 2 ways about it. I also tried them them on Proac Response 8 Sigs (mini monitors) and they drive the C5 just as easily as a book shelf. Plenty of sound and all controled. CheersChe
Cardas GR Biwired to double binding post Thanks all for your feed back. The dynaudios are confidence 5 and they have very large binding post so stacking the spades should not be a problem. My thoughts are much the same as everyones here. IF you stack them they will be getting the full use...
Proac Tablette Ref 8 Sig Vs 1SC I think it's really a personal choice thing. I have read a lot of post saying people much prefer the sigs 8 and others say the 1sc?
Krell / Mcintosh / Pass For Dynaudios Audiofeil...like the response! What about a Plinius Ref amp....never heard them but I can get them here (Australia) alot easier than Pass and Mcintosh. By all accountsd they mate well with the Dynaudios.Cheers |
