Some irrefutable truths about rock and roll
I think you nailed something indeed, but it wasn't anything to do with music
New to Classical Music - Album to try first??
Not that either the piano or the cello are traditional instruments....hahahah
New to Classical Music - Album to try first??
I think the place to start is J.S. Bach on traditional instruments, because this is the nexus of all classical music. So called 'early' music dates as pre-Bach, and after was everything else.Plus it just so damn good.I would try some solo instrume...
Rebuilding LP12; which tone arm
I have had an RB300 on my LP12 for years and I love it. Yes, the ARO would be better, but it is a lot of money. For the price the Rega has no real peers. I have reconciled myself to keep it simply because I enjoy it immensely. The fact that I am h...
Warped Records
I used to get upset about this issue. However I have changed my mind about it. A great many warped LP's I own sound amazingly great. Only the most severely warped LP's detract from the sound. I am not sure why it is a problem.

Hi-End for Black Metal?
Ironmine: I don't heard black metal at all in Axis of Perdition. Sounds like dark ambient to me, more like 'Null', which I like. However I would not put it up there with Schoenberg or Berio! Now that's radical.
Hi-End for Black Metal?
'Axis of perdition' is not that radical. John Cage is radical. This is b level horror film soundtrack.
What is the Phono stage you have finished with?
I really want an Art Audio Vinyl Reference, it is what I would get and will get. I currently have an inexpensive Musical surroundings Phenomena stage. It is good, but not good enough.
Tube-aholics Anonymous?
The Naim gear is JUST PLAIN BORING, relentless, electronic sounding, and lifeless. No wonder you want some tubes!Other than that its fine.
Is there a better table than S. Scoutmaster Ref ?
'Better' is highly subjective. There are those who would say Walker, Linn, and many others are 'better' to their tastes and systems. What you like is best.
