I've heard that  Lumière DST is a terrible cartridge
Cartridge upgrade for vintage TT - MM or MC?
I have no idea how a conical tip with 2g tracking force can last more than 300-400 hrs not being worn out, elliptical can be used a bit longer, but they are all inferior compared to a proper profiles like Shibata, LineContact, MicroRidge ... that ...
Cartridge options for current gain phonostages (47 Labs)
BTW @lewm did you notice that a 90dB version has been made for extremely low output carts (standard version is 75dB).
SME and OL tonearms....
I would highly recommend you to look for good used Reed 3P tonearm, because no other tonearm will give you full adjustment of your cartridge (not only VTA on the fly, but an Azimuth on the fly). Unique modern design and superb quality from Europe....
JVC MC1 Moving Coil Cartridge - Heritage?
Yeah, thanks @edgewear it is very interesting, because i also enjoyed my MC-L10 (at least half the price of MC-L1000) without lack of bass on Victor UA-7082 tonearm. Glad you like your Victor, the company made so many great MM and MC cartridges.

Should I get an SL-1200G
One problem: New 1500c made in China, but the SL1200GR and G made in Japan.
Cartridge upgrade for vintage TT - MM or MC?
It depends on the turntable design, many vintage turntables are crap too, some of them are amazing in comparison to the more expensive turntables made today. I am using only vintage turntables, i hate belt drive turntables (no matter new or old). ...

"The Miyabi Standard has an output voltage of 0.2mV and an internal impedance of 2.0 ohms, while the Miyabi/47 has 0.3mV output voltage and an internal impedance of 2.0 ohms". Pretty much as nearly all my favorite MC cartridges, they are all low i...

Cartridge upgrade for vintage TT - MM or MC?
Any vintage MM from the "cartridge of the month" in our old thread, your digital will always be completely different until you will upgrade the turntable and tonearm, not only the cartridge. it is also depends on the record pressing. You need a hi...
SME and OL tonearms....
SME have a knife-edge bearings, it is not good for many cartridges. Look for Reed tonearms or Kuzma if you’re looking for something really great and new.Reed 3p is my favorite modern tonearm (available in 9 inch, 10.5 or 12 inch)
