A great interconnect between Soulution 751 and 725
Why would you buy a top-notch Soulution stack and then cheap out so massively on cables?    Go with an Ansuz Speakz D-TC Gold Signature, or just sell all your Soulution gear because you're definitely not hearing what it's capable of.
Thoughts and perceptions on the sound quality of Accuphase Digital Products
Don't forget that there is also now the newly-launched Esoteric Grandioso K1X SE, which have major upgrades internally for the discrete parts, and you also have a further upgrade path for adding on a Grandioso G1X master clock, which again brings ...
Thoughts and perceptions on the sound quality of Accuphase Digital Products
@garebear I'm surprised you even considered selling the Grandioso K1X for the DP770. That's a massive downgrade in my opinion, the DP770 that I heard did not come close to my own K03XD, and I can't imagine even comparing that to the Grandioso, wh...
Thoughts and perceptions on the sound quality of Accuphase Digital Products
I just came back to my hotel after listening to a demo of the new dp-770 at Audio Union Shinjuku store, paired with their new A-80, and the c3900 preamp on a B&W 804D4. It sounded good, but not great. As an owner of an Esoteric K03XD, I'd ver...
dCS Bartok Apex vs any similar priced DAC
Honestly, if you're just running an ATC, I don't see why there's a need for a top flight DAC

Ironically I now own Magico, the furthest thing away from wooden box speakers. So your lame ass comeback actually applies to yourself instead LOL. Keep your china-made wooden box speakers, thank you.

mbmi Yikes, seems like you’re the clueless newbie here, this information has been out there for months if you even paid the slightest attention. Tons of videos of Michael Borresen and Lars Kristensen mentioning that the X3 cabinet was 100% made,...
Perlisten S5t
mbmi   The Borresen X3 that you adore so much and call a 'work of art' had its cabinet made in China, FYI. I hope you return them at the soonest, but only after you spit on them. Since you have an obvious disdain for chinese-made products.
Turntable got absolutely crushed by CD
Many thanks for all the advice and constructive feedback so far. I'm most likely going to hold on to the turntable for a while and see how much more performance i can extract from further tweaking. I'm facing quite a learning curve on the VPI tone...
Turntable got absolutely crushed by CD
Hi @rauliruegas Not too many..at this point i have a little over 50 LPs. Couple of digital reissues, but I do have some early pressings of records from Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Dire Straits etc...your usual classic rock stuff
Turntable got absolutely crushed by CD
@jab Interesting, what was the tonearm/cart on the Linn? I'm guessing you are selling for an upgrade?
Turntable got absolutely crushed by CD
@rodman99999 Hm i'm actually in Singapore. What's involved in the process of refreshing the internal phono stage and what are the outcomes? To get more loading options?
Turntable got absolutely crushed by CD
@pbnaudio  Unfortunately it doesn't have the pull-out card and 400-500ohms don't seem to be possible.
Turntable got absolutely crushed by CD
@roberjerman thanks, i've never really looked at SUTs before..in fact i thought they were worse than a good phono stage. Guess I'd have to start looking
Turntable got absolutely crushed by CD
@whart I agree...if I were starting out today I'm not sure if I'd go down the vinyl route. At this point I've actually spent more on the analog front (turntable+cart+accessories close to USD3K) than my digital (Esoteric USD2.3k) and by the looks o...
