Any previous Wadia users?? Or did everyone move? Oh yeah,it is a current converter that is causing a stir with Wadia. R.Shultz says that the 581 SE is quite an improvement and gets some of the best leading edge dynamics that he has heard.Mr Shultz was so impressed that he sent his 9Series away f...
Any Living Voice OBX-R2 recommendations? i HEARD THEM AT A FRIENDS PLACE AND THE THOUGHT THAT WENT THROUGH MY HEAD WAS HOW MUSICAL THE SOUND WAS!I think that the speaker is forgiving but also is able to pass detail with the right cabling. The amp was a Jadis SET with a MBL front end and V...
Tis a sad, sad day... Try the GMA' Calypso or the Ridge street audio speaker that is a 2way. Iwas worried when I replaced my 14year Paragon love affair speaker with the GMA's but can truly say the the Calypso are better in every single way.Good luck in your search.Chee...
Any previous Wadia users?? Or did everyone move? The reason Wadia is offering the update to the 581 is because of a new and improved digital component that improves the way the signal is decoded ( I also forgot the name of the damn thing !!). I heard the latest 9 series that had the same update ...
Any previous Wadia users?? Or did everyone move? I am moving to a Wadia 2000 w/digital volumne and a wadia 20 transport from my wadia 15i and 8 transport.Needless to say both peices are going to Steve for a GNSC special and he is also selling my old units for me! Now that is great service and I ...
How much money for your next interconnect cable??? A Statement product wheather it be a component or cable is still part of the chain that one listens to. I would gladly do a blind test and feel that that maybe the proof is in the pudding. I think that cables are one of the least understood aspect...
Is my Esoteric DV-50S a keeper? Why don't you get it modded? I know that it changes the sound in a big way, I had a GNSC done on all my wadias and my MFA D75 to a superb effect. So consider it before you dump your player ( I think that one must modify ) before you buy something ...
MBL 9011 v/s Boulder 2050 monos Sthekepatyou might try and add the Karan mono blocks to the shootout of the beasts. Karans are a paltry 1500 watts and and a damping factor that is 20,000. Neutrality is a strong suit of the amps and there is a great review in HiFi+ comparing them...
MBL 9011 v/s Boulder 2050 monos I would consider different i/c before I switched out amps since Nordost has some serious issues. The sonic flavours are very different cable to cable and would be a to hear new sounds from the same amps. Hope this helps Dennis
Linn CD12 vs. Great Northern Sound Wadia 860 Try using the Wadia with the Sistrum 101 and watch your face fall off!!Cheers Dennis
I've Fallen in Love With My Mistress I think life is full of many excellent bottles of wine and we humans only get to open a few real treasures. Enjoy the taste while it lasts and remember wine always tastes better with a great music! Cheers Dennis
What componemns sound best with GMA Callistos I am using the VD Genesis cables and they are out of this world. I think that the vd cables offer a major value to performance ratio and make my Calypso's totally disappear and give insane dynamics. There are a lot of used cables and that offers a...
Opportunity to buy the best Preamp... but which? I really think that the First Sound Paramount is worthy of mention and is built like a tank to boot. Anything that has 500,000 microfarads and weighs inat a paltry 120lbs and is only a preamp, may have something going for it. This is a tube beast ...
Best Value Speaker Model for the Buck? This is a no contest and is won by Green mountain audio with the entry level Europas. They will play in excess of 103 db and sound as spacious as one could expect from such a small design. The asking price of 1250 for a new pair is a deal for the pe...
what's under your Parsifals? All of you guys need to try the sistrum stands, they make your speaker sound like a major update. Every thing improves from dynamic and imaging and bass and treble responses. Even the audiopoint is better than the stillpoint , since stillpoints co... |
