My Next Miles Davis Disc?
Seems that this is going where Bomarc said it would. The list is growing! Thanks for the responses and keep 'em coming. But I must ask - ALL these are in the same vein as Kind of Blue and In A Silent Way ??? I'd be shocked if that were the case. H...
"Kid A"
Interesting responses, thanks. Funny that while OK Computer has gotten much of the higher praise (here and in the reviews) I still feel comparatively that Kid A is the masterpiece. OK Computer is excellent as well, but Kid A to me is more of a stu...
My Next Miles Davis Disc?
Philjolet - Can't really explain it and I know it seems odd, but Sketches just hasn't 'absorbed' me the way that 'Silent' and 'Blue' did. I have noticed that Mark Pendergrast has listed it as his Miles choice to include in his 'Top 100 Ambient Rec...

Latest Peter Gabriel
Sean, If you've never seen him live before, you are in for a treat. Perhaps one of the best live performers/overall concert experiences I've seen - I've been to several of his shows. While the newer stuff like 'Us' and 'So' have widened his audien...
little known musicians we should hear

What to look for in a sub?
I'd look at the REL Q150E. Small (12" cube), musical, good for HT and connectivity that no one else has. You can run hi and lo level inputs at the same time with cutoff set for hi level and full passthru for LFE (.1) info. Can be had new for under...
Ambient / New Age Anyone?
I have to give a word of thanks to all of your suggestions. I have been checking out much of the stuff recommended that I had never delved into before. I got a copy of Mark Pendergrast's "The Ambient Century" from the library and have been reading...
Good Value Component Video Cable?
Anyone use any of the IXOS cables??Chris
the best use Subwoofer for under 1500
From a technical perspective (beside the fact that they are also among the most musical)- REL Q150E,201E,Strata or Storm. NO OTHER sub will let you hook up via high level and low (LFE) inputs simultaneously AND let you USE them bot SIMULTANEOUSLY....
