Most meaningful record show find of 2012
Jim- I have the Wasserman Duets (Audiophile Version). While the music is totally killer,to me the sound is sad.Haven't played it in seven or eight years though maybe I'll give it a test spin.Qdrone not only did you save $29 bucks on the Blonde mono...
And now for something completely different:
Wow! You rarely see anyone kicking so much butt on a bassoon.
Ravi Shankar passes.
When listening to Mr. Shankar I always thought "This guy is an improviser on the order of John Coltrane".Loved his music and how it was tied to his spiritual being.Thank you Kijanki for your clairifying comments. You should have written the liner n...
Ed Cassidy of Spirit is dead
Last time I saw them was at some type of street fair.Out doors in Santa Barbara California. They kindly signed some LPs for me.Must have been early 80s.They were so good.Mr. Skin had those kettle drums.I'll miss him.
New 'Vinyl Flat' flattener?
I managed to ruin an LP.In pouch for same time period as other similiar weight records, but virgin vinyl pressing.Melted the record.

Dylan Mono Vinyl has on both LP side 1 and same Ma

any success with "Vinyl flat" and warped records
There is another thread here on this subject. Many claim great success.I returned mine because the bag did not work.My suspicion is yours doesn't either.Others document great results.I contacted the manufacturer who volunteered to exchange the bag....
Dead Can Dance Does it Again
Ebm are you familiar with the term Zombie?
Dylan Vinyl CBS UK or Columbia for 1960 stuff
Myself,I would go US on Dylan. The US pressings are easy to date. The UK pressings are much more difficult to identify chronological.I would not want to rely on seller claims for info. Also available quantities of US LPs should be vast compared to UK...
Examples of Out of Phase Recordings?
Touch by Morton Subotnik.
RIP: Doc Watson
Doc will be missed.Fortunately his catalogue is extensive.Have listened to him often in the last few years. His ability to mix different types of music and make them his own,was remarkable. His playing always clean and honest. One of those artists wh...
