Considering buying a CD transport I also have a bryston Dac 1 and use a Roksan Caspian m1 cd player as a transport, the advantage of this cd player is that it has 3 digital outputs AES/EBU, Coax, and toslink. Imho the the Bryston DAC sounds better through AES/EBU (110 ohm balance...

"What's The Best Value Speaker In $5k-$10k Range?" Gradient Revolution from Finland, cleanest best bass reproduction with its dipole boxless enclosure.
Where to best upgrade - TT, arm or phono stage? I own the Tabriz Zi and know very well the Nima. They are just diffrent, the Nima being unipivot, i,ve heard it mentioned as an economic Naim ARO. I agree with some others, the phonostage is your weak link.
Owners of speakers by obscure companies chime in i don't know if Gradient will qualify for such a designation but I hear very little buss from this company and imho it deserves wider recognition. I own gradient revolutions after many in & out try out,s and I have no plans on looking elswhere.
Phono pre for ZYX 100 Yatra high output I,m almost sure that ARC has a mod to have higher gain on your ph3. try giving a call to ARC.BTW i have used the ph3 with my .45mv ortofon kontrapunkt A and yes of course cd is higher on the preamp but i woldn,t call it "sub-optimal". I would try...

Good turntables w/o record clamps i agree with Rcprince. Check out Roksan Xerxes either a used Xerxes 10 or the new Xerxes 20. Not only do you not use a clamp but you can take the spindle top once you center the Lp in a way that you don,t have contact of the lp hole with the spind...
Roksan Xerxess 10, shiraz cartridge Yes very good table, if the price is right go for it, the Xerxes 10 or Xerxes 20 are way much better than the original Xerxes which as its been documented suffered from plinth sagging issues. The Shiraz i havn,t heard it but its supposed to be a ...
Hum/Buzz from Phono Gear -PS Audio 200 HB??? I own the ps audio 200hb. If the hum/buzz is coming from your speakers the ps audio humbuster won,t help, is mechanical trasformer noise what the humbuster work at.
Has anybody had experience with the Orions? "No. The Orions are open baffle from ~2,4kHz to ~40Hz. Now they have a back firing tweet too (the tweet used has its own back chamber)."Upssss!...sorry,thanks for the correction.
Has anybody had experience with the Orions? Fishboat:"One criticism I've heard is that they (any dipole type) sound "big" all the time.." Gradients are dipole only below 200 hz and i assume Orions are some where around that, being that you get the advantage of less standing waves than with ...
Has anybody had experience with the Orions? Hello Jose: I,m Carlos from Xalapa (friend with Raul); i don,t know if its of any interest for you but i own the Gradient Revolution which have open dipole bass and very similar in concept to the orions. i hear that Mr. linkwitz really takes his h...
