Advise on Audyssey Sound Equalizer installation? I have the Sonus Faber Cremona Mains, Center & Matching Sub. Cremona has a matching Sub. Anyway, I can honestly say I never heard distortion from any of the Cremonas even at high levels. As far as I can tell the Cremonas can handle anything I ...
Advise on Audyssey Sound Equalizer installation? I really want to do this right. The reason I initiated the thread was so I can get assistance. And in return, I can give feedback on this fascinating product. But for the feedback to be the most helpful, I would have to use the product properly. B...
Advise on Audyssey Sound Equalizer installation? I am very excited!
Speaker placement: On the rug OK? I am not sure I understand Steuspeed's advise. Having the projector on the ceiling closer to the speaker is bad for the sound? So much so that it is worth an extra $5k to get a long throw projector? I'm guessing that the issue is that it is protru...
Where to place - need some hand holding please Gregm,I tried to place the speakers closer together and further away from the sidewall as you suggested. It just did not sound right. When I closed my eyes the music just did not sound like there was a stage. Perhaps, you did not take my room's wi...
Where to place - need some hand holding please Artizen65,I appreciate your response. Truth be told, I have read many articles on speaker placement. There are many opinions, some of which even contradict each other. Also, I do not feel comfortable to trust my ears just yet.The goal of my thread...
Where to place - need some hand holding please I really appreciate your responses. I am hoping for some handholding. Like I mentioned I have no experience and usually can hear no differences when playing with the placement. Frankly, no matter where I place them, the music sounds nothing like t...
Does a non-audiophile have to calibrate? User name lrsky was very helpful. He is definitely a knowledgeable audiophile. He helped correct some of my room issues over the phone and gave me some clever tips. Thank You.
Does a non-audiophile have to calibrate? I've contacted Rives. Very nice and helpful people there. They answered all of my questions. I will fill out the application (as soon as I get the time) and hear what they have to say.
Does a non-audiophile have to calibrate? Wow! Nice to see this thread revisited. I have learnt much since I started it. What I discovered is that every tweak makes a difference with material I am familiar with (Except for the $1200 PC which did no audible difference). That is not to say ...
Please help me get my missing frequencies My Mains go down to 32Hz. But the mains do not get the LFE channel unless I say I have no sub. My dealer is on vacation and besides I don't think he is very knowledgeable, he told me that the Low Pass Filter filters out noise. I am very new to thi...
VGA cable length I use 15 feet Better Cables VGA to my DLP. It works great. Not as great as my DVI though.
Please help me get my missing frequencies Your sub should have 2 inputsI do in fact have 2 inputs. 1 XLR & 1 Line Level. Both Full frequencies. You might be better off letting the pre/pro do the crossover work...And Therein lies the rub. The entire .1 (LFE) channel gets sent to the sub...
What is a Low Pass Filter Thank you all for your responses. I am still a bit confused. Specifically One question: Does the Low Pass Filter completely filter out anything above the Low Pass Filters freq setting much like the PrePro's Sub cross over? Or does it reduce it so...
What is a Low Pass Filter Viridian, I do not understand your response. Let me ask you this: Why would I want to "attenuate" any frequencies? I am assuming that by "attenuate" you mean that it is modifying the signal above a certain frequency?thanks,David |
