Home made cable lifters. Great suggestions all. Thorman, I live in the Akron area and I`ll check local shops for old insulators. If I come up empty, there are other suggestions I`ll try. Thanks everybody!
Home made cable lifters. Thanks Herman and Peter for your input. Is it true that ceramic devices make the best isolators? I think I read that somewhere. It seems that the sets that I`ve found so far on the market are $100+ for a set of 8. I`d like to put that money toward...
Cones for amp stands.... Update...I ended up buying two maple amp stands from Chris at Timbernation. One for int. amp, second for cdp. Beautifully made. They do the trick and are reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
TWO CHANNEL AMP DECISION FINALLY MADE I don`t know its dimensions and I don`t think it has remote capability but if it were me, I`d get a good used Audible Illusions mod.3 to partner with the Belles in particular. $600-$700 used.I know that that would make a terrific pre/amp combo.

Cones for amp stands.... Audiofeil, yes, I`ve seen their nice products but they`re stuff is beyond my budget for now. I`ll certainly keep them in mind for a future upgrade.
Cones for amp stands.... Thanks to all for your input. Here`s my situation...One stand will hold my cdp and the other stand will hold my int. amp. The deck is carpet over concrete. I`m assuming cones would be the best way to go. If there are any other suggestions I`d like...
Cables for Merlin VSM-MXe speakers I have the new tsm mme`s and am having terrific results with Gregg Straley`s Reality cables. Less than $500 for a pair of his sp. cables and ic`s combined. They`re made of seven strand, oxygen free copper which the merlins like.
Cheap tweaks...What would YOU reccomend? 09-27-06: BluerangerDoes the Grungebuster have to be perfectly positioned????No, it does not. I`ve found that the application is simple and quick. After a few applications, you need to dab the sticky surface with painter`s tape to remove dust buil...

Lead free Merlins Hi Merlin1310...As Bobby said, I haven`t heard any of the previous tsm or vsm series speakers. I owned a pair of merlin sig. 4`s about 16 yrs. ago and loved them. I knew if I ever got back into the hobby, I`d start with merlins and build a system ...
Bob Dylan finally makes sense.... Nrchy...I agree with you on the 3-4 defense. It does work however, when the OLB can shift to DE and vice-versa. ie...Jason Taylor...Miami Dolphins. That versatility will.......Aw hell, sorry.Back to Dylan.
Bob Dylan finally makes sense.... oops...I meant a 3-4 and 4-3 defense.
Bob Dylan finally makes sense.... Ben...I`m not an expert on the evolution of music. My thoughts and analysis of Dylan`s work were based on observations made almost 40 yrs. ago.Until now, I`ve been more interested in whether a trolled split-tail mullet would be almost as effective... |
