Gimme Some Truth John Lennon
I have not listened to the CD or vinyl, but have listened to the Blu-ray.  I really like the new mix but is very bass heavy compared to previous mixes.  I like it but many think the bass is much too forward in the mix.  John’s voice is also cleare...
Lumin app, Teac HR streamer app, Esoteric app problem.
I am having issues with Qobuz when using my Lumin streamer. I hit a certain song in my playlist and then my unit won’t play and the display turns off and on. The app then loses connection with Qobuz. I reset and tried a different song and it was f...
Ditching Lumin T2 - Lumin U1 Mini or Bluesound Node 2i
Did you try setting the T2 to low output from normal?  The normal voltage of 6 volts was too much for my processor, and made it sound harsh and distorted.  I switched to low, which is 4 volts, and it was much better.
Lumin T2 burn in time?
Thingswelike,Does changing the output setting from normal to low on my Lumin T2 change any of the dynamics, or does it simply lower the volume. I noticed The specs on my Classe processor say maximum XLR analog input is 4VRMS (which I think is volt...
PS Direct Stream Vs. Lumin X 1 Sound quality difference?
Peter at Lumin recommends having it run 24/7 for at least 2 weeks.  He has said it does not have to be run with amps on, so I would run a continuous playlist all night for 2 weeks.
PS Direct Stream Vs. Lumin X 1 Sound quality difference?
I initially thought my T2 sounded a little harsh on some music with higher pitched vocals, such as Genesis and some female singers. After the first week or so I thought I had made a mistake, and thought about returning it. I will say it improved c...
Lumin T2 burn in time?
A lot of people on other audiophile sites such as AudioShark claim they think it provides for an even better sound. By using Leedh, You put your preamp in unity gain and control the volume using the Lumin app.  By doing this, it basically takes th...
Lumin T2 burn in time?
Anyone using a Lumin with a preamp try the Leedh volume control?
Lumin T2 with Anthem STR preamp signal going through both DACs?
If you are using the Anthem DAC via USB from the Lumin, you are sending a digital signal, not analog.  Thus the Anthem will only process it once, as a digital signal.  You are correct that the Anthem will not, however, be able to decode  a MQA sig...
Lumin T2 with Anthem STR preamp signal going through both DACs?
I tried it both ways and ended up preferring the connection through balanced inter - connects with no DSP. It was a little more dynamic that way as opposed going through my Wolfson 8741 chip in my Classe. However, my XLR cables are much better tha...
Lumin T2 with Anthem STR preamp signal going through both DACs?
I think you will get the sound character  of the T2 either way.  However, in my experience, using DSP alters the signal somewhat.  I found using digital bypass made the music much clearer and more natural.  But I would try it both ways and see wha...
Lumin T2 with Anthem STR preamp signal going through both DACs?
Not sure if you stream tidal, but I don’t think the Anthem DAC is fully MQA compatible, whereas the Lumin T2 is.
Lumin T2 with Anthem STR preamp signal going through both DACs?
Yes, unless you have the Anthem set to analog or digital bypass, the  analog  signal from your T2 is  altered by the DSP of the Anthem.  IMO, this degrades the signal.  You can try it both ways and see which sounds better.  I found putting my Clas...
Lumin T2 burn in time?
I felt the same way you did at first, but now I am really happy with it.  Are you using IOS or Android for the app?  I think IOS works much better for some reason.  The app works great 99% of the time for me.  Every once in while I have to close t...
Lumin T2 burn in time?
I have mine connected that way as well.  Not sure if your preamp  applies any DSP,  but  I noticed a big difference In sound quality when  I set my preamp in digital bypass mode,  which eliminates all of the  DSP and  sends an unaltered  analog si...
