| Anyone ever have claims for damage with UPS? UPS is fine as long as the package is overpacked to the point where you can drop it from a 4ft height with no damage. | New CD player or DAC There are plenty of great 20bit Dacs on Audiogon right now that can be had for way under $500. The EAD dacs are great and used to retail for well over $2000 a few years ago. I also recommend the Bel Canto DAC1. | |

| Well, I have finally balanced it... Blueswan, your thread is very timely as I have just decided to try the same thing. My amp and CDP are both using truly balanced circuits so I will be trying some XLR cables in January. I will keep you posted to compare results. | |

| $500-600 Used Tuner Go for the Magnum Dynalab FT-101A or MD90. If you have the cash get the Magnum Dynalab MD100, it's 30% better than the MD90 and has great imaging and soundstage. I've owned all their models up to the Etude. | |
