Who has tried Virtual Dynamics cables? Hey Viggen, It's nice to see that the cables are starting to open up for you. Believe me, the changes you are noticing now are nothing in comparison to what the Virtual Dynamics speaker cables and IC's can add to the system. The Audition PC you ar...
Does the VAC Avatar bonk when you drive it hard? Well this is a 60W amp if I remember correctly. What you are referring to is called 'clipping'. It happens in tubes and SS when the amp runs out of power and the sine wave is cut short, creating wonky sound in tubes and a cracking noise in SS. Hav...
Integrated tube amps that have CJ CAV50 sound? I've listened to a few very good tube setups and the Rogue Magnum Tempest does very well (I own it now). I replaced the 12AX7's with some CV4004 Mullards and WOW. I'm sure you'll see the same responses on here if you search around the forums. Thos...
Audio & PC Audio Cable upgrades better than stock. Also, if you want to get spendy, you could get the Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum (external) and use the RCA outputs on it so you could use half decent Interconnects to your pre. I would buy the Musical Fidelity Tube buffer if you're at all serious...
Audio & PC Audio Cable upgrades better than stock. First thing, if you're using your computer at all as a source, get the new Sound Blaster Audigy card. It just killed my Live! for cd's and MP3's. The Audigy comes with the new 24bit 100db chip. This will outweigh any other tweaks you add to the sy...
Break in period for Audio Physic Virgo 3? From the Cardas.com site:"A note on breaking in box speakers, a process which seems to take forever. When I want to speed up the break-in process, I place the speakers face to face, with one speaker wired out of phase and play a surf CD through th...
Is it just me or.....? I check out the forums that I'm involved in first then check out the 'new today' forums to see if there's anything interesting.. Every few days an interesting forum topic pops and I jump in.
IC's for Rogue Audio Using Virtual Dynamics throughout my system. I have the Rogue Magnum Tempest Integrated with upgraded NOS Mullards. Big difference from my fully Cardas cabled system. Much more resolving, but takes a couple of weeks to break in as usual.
Benefits and Drawbacks to Shotgun Speaker Cables I'm thinking about getting these "Shotgun" speaker cables Cryogenically treated.. Won't that be fun??
Are You Content With Your System? I'm at the early stage of the disease... 6 months so far. When did upgradeitis plateau for you guys??? I've been buying and tweaking like crazy lately!!! But it seems to be working out nicely, the system is sounding less bright and very musical co...
Who has tried Virtual Dynamics cables? Thanks Viggen, I also had the same results with the Virtual Dynamics on the first couple of weeks of break in... Like I said before, plug them in to a high wattage/amplitude amp for a while and give them time to burn in.
Chord DAC 64 Ben,It's coflicting articles like that one that makes me want to demo ALL equipment before buying... For all the equipment I've seen out there, there's always been somebody saying that it's the best under X dollars...I value the opinions of Audiog...
Who has tried Virtual Dynamics cables? Viggen, a quicker way of breaking in the PC is to hook them up to a higher wattage/amplitude amp or light bulb. The dac and trans only use about 15 watts at the most. I had mine hooked up to my computer for a while and it worked nicely. If you can...
Who has tried Virtual Dynamics cables? What do you mean Viggen? Let them break in for a couple of weeks... When I got my Power 3's, they were very grainy and had edgy highs. After a couple of weeks all that went away. Get back to us when they're done breaking in.
Vinyl to Digital I know one guy that got the Chord DAC 64 and is selling all his LP's. Check out some of the Chord DAC forum threads. |
