Whats playing on your system today?
The Grateful Dead - Dead Set - 2 CDs of live tracks from 1980.
How far away from your speakers are you?
Around 16 feet.
Klipsch Heresy IV
Hooked my system up for the first time last night - H IVs and Wadia 321 / a315 with Cambridge CXC transport.  Really wonderful sound that fills my 16 x 24 foot space.  Grainless highs, liquid mids and real solid base.  Needless to say, I was up un...
Klipsch Heresy 4?
I've picked up a pair of IVs in walnut and now the conundrum is what to power them with.  I am going back and forth between tubes and low-powered SS, like First Watt. What are people using for amps for their Heresy's?
RIP David Roback
RIP - Glad I got to see Mazzy Star live at the Wiltern in LA a few years ago following their last album release.  Wonderful music.
Klipsch Heresy IV - not what I was expecting
I've just placed an order for a pair in Walnut for a second system in a medium-sized room (15 x 22 x 8 ft).  Next is to think about amplification.  I've always been solid state on my main system (Ayre), but for these I am looking for a tube integr...
Disappointed w/ Klipsch Heresy III. Now what?
Around 16 feet apart?  Yeah, good luck with that.

What are some of the most underrated and overrated loudspeakers you’ve auditioned?
Over-rated - Avalons - Flat, Boring, makes all music sound homogenousMartin Logan - I really want to like them, but the sound on more complex music always loses it's cohesionUnder-rated - Dunlavy (RIP) - people always focused on "cheap parts"The L...
Anyone going to the 2019 "The Show?"
I'll be going.  Setting up a second system, so wanted to hear/see some of the equipment I am considering.  Probably will go on Sunday as Saturday is usually the heavy-attendance day.
Dunlavy SCIVA'S... Mine sound bland
A big Mac.  Monoblocks, if you can afford them (cheaper, if used, abviously). If will deliver consistent power, regardless of the ohms and it will be smooth, as per your taste.
Curious what people think is the best "value" high end speaker (~5K to 15K)
Egglestonworks Rose, Fontaine, Camilla
Thiel CS2.4 to what?
audiojan, the amps I am considering are the Bel Canto 600 Ref monos, Parasound JC1 monos, Pass Labs 150 INT, Benchmark AHB2 run in mono. I'm strictly a non-streaming digital guy, so front end will be PS Audio DAC and Transport.
Thiel CS2.4 to what?
I'm also thinking about picking up a pair of Thiel speakers.  Looking at 1.7, 2.7 and 2.3.  Sounds like I would need to budget for a sub for any of these options in my 24 x 16 x 8 room.
Adirondack Audio
Having grown up in upstate NY, with my family having a boat on Lake George, I can attest to the truth of your statement.
