Should I get advents? Yep. Had the "Baby Advents" in my system for 10 years and loved them. Great speakers.
Shanling/Music Hall CD Player repair Doesn't Parts Connextion in Canada modify Music Hall / Shanling players? Perhaps they could direct you to a repair location if they do not do that type of work.
Bryston 4bst - fast or slow blow fuses? There is a Bryston Forum at www.audiocircle.com where I am sure you can get the answer. Bryston monitors the site and a VP from Bryston answers a lot of questions.
Beatles Love, should I run? Own it on CD and am really enjoying the arrangements, the order and placement of songs, really everything. Recording quality is very good also. I grew up with these songs and am enjoying the bit a variation from the original recordings. Go for it.
Tube pre-amps: turn off when not in use? Since I get to listen mostly over the weekend, I turn on my pre on Friday evening and off Sunday evening. Minimizes tube loss.
She's on to me I guess I am lucky that my wife accepts my hobby, and trusts that I will not put us in any financial harm acquiring gear. I always speak with her prior to making a purchase and usually am trading off new gear with some items I have sold so the fin...
How do you clean CD/DVDs ? Takes some time and effort but I use Mikro-Smooth and Optrix from Mapleshade records. Both work great especially the Mikro-Smooth on scratched or damaged CD's.
Amp recommendation for Tyler Sig. Monitor I had Linnbrook Sig. Monitors paired with a Bryston 4b-sst in a similar sized room and was very pleased with the combonation. The Bryston brought out the base in the Linnbrooks nicely and is neutral enough in the mids & highs to let the attrib...

Rotel RCC 1055 I have a 1055 that I use in a second system. I bought it used several years ago; good overall quality, never any issues with the carousel mechanism or any functions with the unit, and it puts out a decent sound in analog. Digital output so you can...
Sound quality of XM radio Direct TV vs standalone Bmatth:I can not comment on the difference between Direct TV and full subscription sound, but I have a Polk XM Receiver in my home system and am very pleased. I first used the RCA connectors on the Polk unit but now have the Polk receiver routed t...
Who Has The Best service department Conrad Johnson. They are always quick to respond to e-mails and answers to my questions on my DR-1 Transport. Impressive considering I am not the original owner. |
