Wilson Audio paint problems We'll simply agree to disagree Ozzy. Remember that he wanted a specific (extra cost) color, something not common. Even if it was common, I can't fathom being outraged as you are; the company gave him brand new speakers, his old speakers worked jus...
Wilson Audio paint problems Wilson should have either found you another brand new pair immediatly or pushed your re-build production ahead of others. Waiting 2 months is ridiculous!Give me a break Ozzy. His "old" speakers worked just fine while he waited, it wasn't like he w...
Are Harbeth S HL5's As Good As Reviewers Claim? I suspect most on here realize people are posting their opinions, and that is what they want. I understand where you are coming from and no doubt people can be and are misled, but if we all adhered strictly to the rule of not asking opionions, the...
Are Harbeth S HL5's As Good As Reviewers Claim? Maybe, maybe not Chashas1. Not everyone has easy access to hear gear that may interest them and are willing to purchase them unheard, hence garning opinions of others.
SF Guarneri Homage vs Harbeth 7ES3 ...play back of an acoustic guitar recording they are astounded at how close the playback sounds to the real thing! It is my opinion that a speaker has to be pretty bad to not sound good when playing back an acoustic guitar. Maybe my experience ha...
Matching Amp to Wilson Sophia 2 but I do know more power is betterYou'd be surprised at how little power you use most the time.
McIntosh C2300 I wouldn't worry about which dealer you purchased from. If they are both authorized dealers I don't see why you would have warrantee issues.
Furman AC-215 ... how is it? I was looking at those and comparing them to the little AC-215. It looks like the AC-215 is just a mini version of the elite series... it has all the same features apparently.Or.... am I missing something?Give Furman a call and let them address th...
Sub users... Shardone, you must have missed my previous post, I will not be using the subs with W/P's, I need to update my page; I will use them with Ridge Street Sason speakers, a stand mount two-way. Thanks, Brian
Sub users... Shardone, I have read this elsewhere too, can you explain more? If I used an external x-over I would cut some of the speakers lower end and control the output of the sub? Without the x-over, the speakers perform as normal and I control the upper l...
Sub users... Thanks again to everyone for their great responses.I have been reading about the JL Audio Fathom F113 and one concern I have is that a couple reviews stated that the F113 lacks a high-pass filter, which can be an issue for two-channel use, unless ...
Sub users... Thanks Bob. In talking with a friend tnight, we concluded I'd probably be crossing over at higher than the 30, closer to 40; all a guesstimate of course.Another question. I'd be connecting the sub from my preamp. I haven't a clue if I will be able...
Sub users... Thanks for the info Shardone, but if I go with a sub it will not be with the Wilson's, but rather Ridge Street Sason's. My bad.
Sub users... Thank you all for the great replies. While I have not researched subs, the JL Audio F113 is the one that has my attention. I would be using it to augment the lowest notes as you hint Rives, 30hz'ish and below.
How to lower noise floor through mods? Have you thought of adding a power conditioner to your system? This made a big difference in my system. |
