Gustard A26
@magon - I have not heard the A26 but if you live in the US you can buy one on Amazon and return it to Whole Foods so it's pretty low risk.  I do have an X26 Pro. I'm looking at your connections with the DDC.  I think I read on this forum that if...
Home network router question
how about this: changing ANYTHNG can have an impact on a system's sound.  there is a lot to say about the synergy between components.  like certain power amps work better with some speakers that others.  this makes saying that one wire is more imp...

Comparing Powerline Ethernet to WiFi for streaming audio
@zlone I tried out the TP-Link extender yesterday.  Sounded worse than my 60 foot Cat6 ethernet cable.  Female vocals harsher.  Didn't spend any more time listening
Comparing Powerline Ethernet to WiFi for streaming audio
I don't think the TP-Link AC1200 uses the power line - it seems to be using the receptacle as a convenience.  I may try one to see if I can hear a difference

Comparing Powerline Ethernet to WiFi for streaming audio
I have my audio system connected to my router via a 50 foot CAT6 ethernet cable.  I use Powerline adapters for my TV setup which involves an outdoor antenna and a Tablo over-the-air DVR (works fantastic, BTW, as long as you have a really good ante...

@sls883 appreciate the comment - I can't find a way to "like" on this forum
UPGRADE PATH FROM CHORD QUTEST DAC
I know you said "serviced in the US" - but you could always try a Gustard from Amazon just to get a comparison unit.  This would enable you to have at least 2 DACs in your possession at one time.  I have an X26 Pro (which I consider a great value)...
Battle of the Older DAC
I don't know what country you're in, but here in the good old USA Amazon has a practically effortless return policy and you can easily audition DACs from Gustard, Denafrips and Topping, among others.  Can help to sharpen your listening skills to h...
Which External Linear PSU Upgrade for my Router?
@tsampa - I want to hear more about using a car battery for the power supply.  what cables did you use?  where did you put it?  is it possible to post photos on this forum?
For Gustard R26...which bang for the buck: DDC or LHY OCK clock?
@kereru - thanks for your take on this.  I'm guessing "HF" is a forum.  What forum is that?
For Gustard R26...which bang for the buck: DDC or LHY OCK clock?
Anyone have experience with the Afterdark clock?  I am using one with my Gustard X26 Pro and it made a nice improvement. Also I think I read on this forum that if you use an external clock connected to a DDC and connect the DDC to the DAC I2S inp...
Gustard R26 - good but not the one
Is it possible that the Gustard DACs are at their best when using the I2S input?
