D Mob,I helped create the Pharmaka Gallery across the street from the Nickel in 2004. Along with Bert Green, we were the pioneers in starting Gallery Row. They have a wonderful art walk once a month. 20 galleries plus the Museum of Contemporary Ar...

If you are doing the food tour of LA, I think my fav old school restaurant is Phillipes The Original. Lamb and beef dips are delish. My car can go there on autopilot.Up North, I love Joe's Cable Car in SF, The Squeeze in Sacramento, and Lunchbox L...

Azaud: Apple Pan is great. So was the original Pie And Burger in Pasadena. Nice tip on Le Grande Orange. Joe's Cable Car in SF also grinds their meat to order.

Luxman L505u . . . why not?
Chashas1I agree, and mentioned specifically above there is a price difference in the thousands. I have not actually seen the 38 SQ at retail. It is a very known model to the Japanese. It appears not to be distributed here yet. PS: The founder of Le...
Luxman L505u . . . why not?
After reading this chain, I decided to do a retail test as well. I brought out four pieces of music: Paul Kelly, May 1992, Spoon's Ga Ga Ga, Booker T's Potato Head, and MGMT's debut album. I used Luxman's CD player to standardize the input. I then...
