Table for Clearaudio Satisfy
Bdgregory, Thank you so much! This is my first venture into this type of set up, I am not that advanced in Table / tonearm combos. I am used to "vintage" all in one set ups. You have made my decision a no brainer, thank you so much!
Need an inexpensive phono stage
Rolfs, (Bellari), for less than 100 bucks!!! It was matched to a Luxman PX 100 with a Clearaudio Classic Aurum cartdrige, played through an NAD C375BEE integrated amplifier ... that's before the Lux CA combo found their way into a vintage system ....
Green Mountain Continium 1.5, anyone heard these?
Bombaywalla, I believe what Shakey is saying, he's passionate about his statements ... but it would have been nicer to find out on my own and not have someone post something that had nothing to do with my original post. The way I read it my curren...
Green Mountain Continium 1.5, anyone heard these?
Thank you Shakey, but your comments may completely make me shy away from the Mountains. If you read my original thread, I am simply putting together a vintage system for which speakers is the next item. The intent is not to replace the VS', I neve...
Green Mountain Continium 1.5, anyone heard these?
Bombaywalla, I read your review and I was quite impressed. In fact your review had a lot to do with me even auditioning these. Having said that;1. Do you think a Sansui AU-717 will be enough power? (85 watts, old school measurements)2. You mention...

Home Theater vintage Thiel set up question
Thanks Bradluke! Unsound, I appreciate your responses and your tone, very informative, and I mean that! What got me started wondering about a full vintage Thiel speaker system for HT was hooking up the 2's as fronts, which had collected dust since...
Home Theater vintage Thiel set up question
Ok folks, here is the update! For home theater forget the equalizer! You do not need it! For those of you that insist it is needed, a dumb question I will pose to you ... are you using or have you used the system described in order to be qualified...
Home Theater vintage Thiel set up question
I will be using the 3's as fronts and the 2's as surrounds and will not use the equalizer as reccomended by Thiel. I called Thiel, asked about the eq and the Thiel Technical Manager did not reccomend using the eq if a sub is being used. I am using...
Home Theater vintage Thiel set up question
