What’s up with all these comments about how he doesn’t push his products or services? That’s the whole point of his videos!!!!! I’ve got a bridge to sell a few of you ;)   ”look at all the faults I can find with this speaker and here is what I w...

@dwmaggie the issue with Audio Circle is that it's the equivalent of a communist country.  The moderators will take any negative comments out because the companies that have "circles" pay for those in advertising.  So anything that is viewed negat...
Streamer
@carlsbad the Node 2i doesn't have usb out.  The new node does now I think. If the iFi Zen Stream has worked out it's bugs then it's the best one I've heard for under $1k.  I had two and they both had issues but I've heard they've worked out a lo...
Do different streamers really sound different when using an external DAC
@sbank That's a cool gadget for sure but how could that sound better than wifi?  Only asking because I use a mesh setup too and hardwire from the base of one of the mesh units but I cant see how using something where the signal is going thru actua...
Has anyone here done the Heresy II upgrade kit?
Crites crossover rebuild kit was what I was going to do if not the Klipsch kit.
Recommendation for replacement of Freya +
People worry about their tubes being used too much???? I don’t really get that, people buy used tubes, tubes used to be what drove TV’s!  Never been a concern for me at all. I in fact keep my Freya on all the time.
Recommendation for replacement of Freya +
@carlsbad that was another option, to go with a tube integrated with a pre-in/ht bypass. Willsenton R800I is a beast, or just the R8

Danny is talented, no doubt BUT like @astolfor is saying, he is trying to sell you on his kits or work.   You hear a lot about his channel and what he says but I rarely hear feedback from people saying "he made my speakers so much better!"  Not s...
Recommendation for replacement of Freya +
@reubent good points, I think I'll try that to see if it's maybe the Lexicon that's adding noise somewhere.   I never did try the Lexicon as a 2 channel option, it's pretty much just a relabeled Arcam 550, it's worth a shot but can't imagine it b...
Recommendation for replacement of Freya +
@213runnin appreciate the feedback.  Actually, there are quite a few, @carlsbad posted the link in his comment to a whole lot of preamps with real HT Bypass and there are a few in the price range but not as many with balanced in-out. None of my ot...
Recommendation for replacement of Freya +
It's a bit quieter in passive mode but still noise from the speakers at full volume, take it to half volume and it's quiet.   My turntable is quiet, I don't have much electrical noise usually but it's the needing of full volume on the Freya in by...
Recommendation for replacement of Freya +
I’ll try it again in passive mode but I think I was getting the hum in all modes once the volume got close to full.    thing I really don’t like is that I don’t want to accidentally leave it in full volume when I go to use it in 2 channel. It’s n...
Anyone pairing Cornwall IVs with solid state amplification to good results?
@jbhiller probably a disciple of ASR, there was a super long discussion on the site talking about how great that amp is.  Still no need for blanket ridiculous statements.
Anyone pairing Cornwall IVs with solid state amplification to good results?
I can confidentially bet that the PA5 can go 15 rounds with any high-end amp!    and what has led you to be so confident?  If you can make that comment then you MUST have tested it a/b against other amps. When I heard that thing it was as steri...
Suggest your most desired MSRP $1,500-$3,000 Stand Mount for a Shootout.
You have to do a Tekton speaker here, I mean it’s an absolute must with all the drama involved with these and people who think that us owners are crazy. You’ll get the most clicks on your post by saying there is a Tekton speaker involved too! ;) ...
