stehno... thanks much.If I read ya right... then ONLY coupling works best? W8ith componnets too? hmmmm.My concern remains the (IMO) inordinate weight being thrust onto about 3.5 sq ft. of flooring... so my choice is to aid or increase that surface...

Ghosthouse yes. Either 1.5 inch characters are the now need... or some other gizmo is necessary.... and I may have one that I had not thought of lately as it sees such little use..Guidocorona is right. As magnification increases the field of view ...

pulling off the end caps from the sides of the uprights on my rack, there is no vacuous opening to be filled.Sound Anchor fixed that issue.... only area open is to I suppose add a locking/adjust nut to the top of ??? spike is used... just a couple...
