Aurender Conductor V4 issues
I'm with @deadhead1000 on this one. They need to stop with the software updates that most people don't need or want. I want stability. Version 4 us a dumpster fire at best and this is the reason I am going back to physical media to listen to music.
Aurender Music Server and CD Transport comparison
I think you all are missing the point. Ok. lets change the parameters as I actually have two systems. In my first system I have Herron Line Stage, Herron Mono Blocks, Denafrips Terminator DAC and an Aurender N100 H (USB not the Coaxial version) i...
DENAFRIPS DAC ---- Owner Impressions, Feedback, General Discussion, Questions and more....
I have been using a Denafrips Terminator for a few months now and to say I am pleased is an understatement. Up until I bought the Denafrips, I was using a Metrum Octave Mk II R2R DAC and I liked it but it was the weak link in my system. It was the...
Why do McIntosh come with cheap plastic remotes?
I am surprised to read so many just don't care about the remotes. I for one do. The remote is an extension of the piece I just purchased. The design, quality and functionality should be equal to the piece. My pre-amp is in the six grand range and ...
Nad M3 non repairable
I have the M2 always worry about repairs because of its fancy schmancy design. Mine has gone back to Lenbrook twice. Lucky for me they still have parts and I live fairly close so I don't have to ship it there and back. Sorry to hear yours has give...
Be Careful!
I read a little trick that helps me, as static is a huge problem for me and my system. I touch the little screw that holds on the the light switch cover to my room. I am luck it is near by. Yes, I get a little shock but not as big as when I touch ...
Herron VTPH-2A, Herron VTSP-360 and Herron M2
I own the the VTSP-3A  and the new M2's and have to say it is underwhelming at best. To try and improve it I replaced all the power cords with Audio Sensibility Statement and it helped but still, meh. Two days ago I hooked up my NAD M2 which has...
Need Help Ripping My CD Collection
I used dbPoweramp and I am quite pleased with it. I only have about 400 cd's so I didn't spend half my life ripping them. I would take time and do them in batches.
Harbeth 30.1 upgrade from C7ES-3 Question
I echo what some of the others have said. I am not sure it is a worthy upgrade if it is in fact is an "upgrade". You will lose the bass to gain mid-range which may or may not be something you want to do. I owned the C7's for a month before returni...
Harbeth Love and your experiences
My first Harbeth's were PS3ER's and I loved them. Sold them to go up the chain. Purchased the Compact 7 series and I thought it was one of the worst speakers I ever heard in my space. Returned these and bought the 30.1's. These were much better bu...
Electronics for Harbeth, Especially Monitor 40 series
I heard the 40.1's powered by LFD NSCE Mark II and it sounded great. I then bought it from that guy and now it is used to power 30.1's. Without that amp, I would have sold my Harbeth's.
Why do Harbeth speakers have such a cult following
This question was asked five years ago and I it as pertinent today as it was then. There a lots of great speakers that don't have the following as Harbeth. My guess would a combination of factors such as neutral sound, half decent cabinetry, Stere...

NAD C390DD integrated vs NAD M12/M22 combo
Sorry I can't really answer your question but I have a NAD M2 and I had PSB Synchrony Ones for a week and this was the most horrible sounding pairing I ever had the displeasure of hearing. The PSB are great speakers and the M2 isn't a bad amp but ...
"Warm Sounding" Solid State Amplifiers
I currently own the NAD M2 and as much as I really like it, I would never consider it warm, technical would be a better way of describing it. My front end is digital so it meets my needs just fine. If I was using a TT, this is an amp I wouldn't bu...
