McCormack DNA-1 Rev A question I am learning something new all the time in this hobby. I didn't think of biwiring since I've been using Jumpers all along. Thanks for everyone's responses.
KEF 104/2 tweeter replacements I wonder if this will fit my 107.2's. I believe they are the same T33 tweeters but I dont know about fit.
KEF 107 - opinions please I currently own both the 107.2's and 105.3's and much prefer the 105.3's. The 105.3's have newer technology drivers, tweeters, and crossovers. They are 4 way and have a lot more detail in the highs, mids, and midbass with a punchier low end. The 1...
Best Power cord for McCormack DNA 225 or 250 I prefer the Custom Power Cord Company (CPCC) Top Gun HCF over the Shunyata Python on my DNA-1 Deluxe. It's $1K new but can be had for $200-300 used depending on length. CPCC is out of business when the owner retired so you can get them for cheap ...
Need information on KEF reference speakers 104.2 You can check out my classic KEF Reference Home Theater system under my userid
Need information on KEF reference speakers 104.2 Any older KEF reference series speakers would match well with 104.2's. KEF Model 90C sounds same as 100C, 200C even better as that is full range. The 104.2's are pretty efficient, you'll have enought power to drive them with the receiver but if ru...
KEF 200C It's better to use speaker wires as jumpers rather than the metal flat gold plated jumpers that came with the speaker. You get much more sound/low end out of the speaker wires.
Interconnect synergy with McCormack I've read alot of review on RCA's and settled on Acoustic Zen Reference Matrix II's, benefits of copper and silver. They retail for $500 but you can find them used for half the price. Worth every penny IMHO. They sell very quickly when posted and ...
Personal Opinions on Kef XQ series There's no comparison between iQ's and XQ's. I've owned the 1st generation XQ's with XQ Center. They have similiar technology to the newer Reference series. iQ's have too much reverberation in the cabinets which are cheaply made compared to the XQ...
Harmonic Tech Pro AC-11 vs Acoustic Zen Tsunami I ended up getting both the Shunyata Taipan Alpha and HT Pro AC 11 and compared it to my Custom Power Cord Model 11 and this is what I noticed. HT Pro AC 11 seemed to emphasize more middle and upper middle range. I felt low end was lacking, not as...
Harmonic Tech Pro AC-11 vs Acoustic Zen Tsunami Audphile1, I know the grass is always greener on the other side. Just wondering how the Pass Labs X250.5 compare to the MccCormack DNA-225 you used to have? Thanks
Harmonic Tech Pro AC-11 vs Acoustic Zen Tsunami Are the Shunyata Taipan's copper, silver, or mixture of both? What about the plug ends IEC, (copper, silver, brass)? Are the Helix the newer versions? Thanks for the all the answers. Trying to find a good powercord for solid state amp McCormack DN...
Harmonic Tech Pro AC-11 vs Acoustic Zen Tsunami Audhpile1, sounds like you tried a lot of PC's. Which would be a better choice between the 2 powercords you mentioned? Audience or Shunyata Taipan? Nice rig you have, BTW
McCormack DNA-1- improvement over Bryston 3B NRB? You'll definately get more authority, bass extension and presence from your speakers using more power, at least thats what I found between my DNA HT1 dlx 100 wpc and DNA1 dlx 185 wpc.
DAC as an upgrade here's the difference between DAC1 and DAC1 Deluxe:The chassis is copper plated steel. Separate digital and analog boards - each with its own transformer - are used, along with five voltage regulators. A Crystal Semiconductor CS8412 "E" Version re... |
