Thanks for your response Mwheelerk.I do plan on using iTunes, but may augment with a budget "skin" that will improve playback quality (recommendations welcome).I understand that its best to use different formats for the MacBook input (firewire fro...
Good speakers under 10K.
Check out a pair of Dynaudio C-1s, plus a REL Subwoofer like a stadium 3.Also, Dynaudios pair well with SimAudio Amplification.
Naim Nait 5i-2 for Totem Sttaf
Haven't heard the Totem Staffs, but I love the Naim - Dali combo. Great synergy there, especially for classical.
best sounding integrated for under 2500.00
I did a side by side with Bel Canto S300I, Musical Fidelity A5 and NAD 375BEE through Dynaudio Focus 220s, and for Hard Rock and Jazz, the NAD was easily the winner. The warmth of the Musical Fidelity sounded best with Classical.Good luck
Best new 70" to 80" display
In my research, I've found the Samsung LED's to be the best picture out there. My brother in law just installed a 70" model and it looks amazing.

Mid-Fi Integrated Amps?
You should add Sim Audio to this list also.
Bass and Treble Dials
For 95% of my listening I use the tone defeat feature of my NAD 375BEE, but I also like live recordings particulary of the Grateful Dead. Those shows are a mixed bag in terms of the recording levels and the tone controls help immensely.
Replacements for Dynaudio Floorstanders
I concur with Mapman on replacing the Krell.I auditioned Naim Integrateds with my Dynaudio 220 Floorstanders and found that quite warm, almost too much so. Simaudio was somewhere in the middle.
Best $3,000 speaker/amp combo?

Thanks for the reponses. Given the short time frame before my friend's Bday, I went for the bird in hand and bought the PSB's from David at DMC. Nice guy.
Integrated to drive PSB Imagine T's in large room
@Jaybo - Denon DRA 635R, which is now powering my kitchen/porch speakers.
