2 way, which are the best designs?
Easy, Kenjit!  We already learned from you that ATC has crappy envlosures and the magnets are too big.So I’ll inform you, since you seem to really really need it.  A lot more goes into making a good sounding speaker other than slapping some driver...
ATC SCM v3 - First impressions.......
Awesome!  Glad you are enjoying them and actually “getting” them as in understanding why they are so special. I’ll have some SCM11’s some day.  Atc speakers are just fantastic and do things in the midrange that I haven’t had any other speaker do i...
Floor Stander or Monitor w/ 2 subs? What does the later give up in a large room?
Ok ok, I’m sorry... My opinion is that a pair of Monitors with a pair of subs should kick butt! I’d suggest getting monitors that play low because Rels are more of a sub bass system... you may have a hole in your freq. response if your monitors do...
Floor Stander or Monitor w/ 2 subs? What does the later give up in a large room?
If silverlines aren’t aesthetically pleasing, try in walls or a bose wave radio.I love being single!
Hunt for new floor standers
Salk Song Towers would be awesome!  Electric blue curly maple, or some crazy finish!Beautiful looking and sounding speakers!
Moving up from a Node 2i
I’ve been using a Bluesound Node 2i now for a few months and love it.  Zero issues with my $400 refurbed unit that I bought.  I stream Amazon HD, Tidal HiFi and Qobuz and they all sound fantastic!  I’ve read that the Node 2i is superior to the Nod...
Inexpensive Headphone DAC
Another vote for an Audioquest Red or Cobalt Dragonfly.
What do I need to start Streaming Music thru my Audio System
Buy a Bluesound Node 2i, refurbished for $420 like I did.  The 2i has a better dac.  Get the 2i...Dowload the bluesound appget a subscription to Qobuz, Amazon HD, or Tidal HiFi.  They all have 30-60 day free trials do you can try them all and keep...
REL Subwoofer. Your input requested
I should also add that in order to try to fix my volume mismatch issue I pulled the Rel out from the corner as much as I could without losing that deep deep bass ( the bass that you almost can’t hear but can feel... 25-30hz?) and also put screwed ...
REL Subwoofer. Your input requested
I had a T9i and now an S3 SHO and Rels are unique in their ease of integration and their finesse.  They are definitely a Sub bass system though.  My only issue with both of the models I had, when using the Speakon connection, their is not enough c...
Guest suddenly takes it upon herself to move my speakers
Candice could push in my tweeters anytime.  Shoot, she could knock my speakers over and look me in the eyes while laughing and I’d still walk 6 miles over hot coals to drink that girls dirty bath water
What are in these Bose speakers anyways
I Love, actually hate it, when I tell people that I’m into “Stereo stuff”, that I have cryogenically treated receptacles for my $200 power cords, and my room is treated with thousands of dollars worth of acoustic panels, and there response is “oh,...
confused and don't know what to do
I got to hear a home theater a few weeks ago that doubled as a 2 channel set-up.  He is using 7 Dunlavys, a bunch of mirage (?) speakers on top of the dunlavys for atmos (?).  Anyhow, it was quite the set-up.  3 15” subs and an enormous screen.  H...
Car doors vibrating horribly. Is 150hz high pass crossover an ok fix?
Cut holes on the outside of the the door where there are rattling panels in order to make an infinite baffle set-up, a la the great “The Kenjitt”.  Next up, how to convert your auto into an anechoic chamber...
The best tweeter is no tweeter
I think what Erik is saying is that a well implemented and integrated tweeter that disappears, is best. I seem to be preferring silk domes lately (maybe always?) in my personal setups. I’ve liked ribbons in the past, and planers as well.  I’m curi...
