ASR EmiterII exclusive, follow up? Hi Tabl10s,I would think it is not bad, but probably a good tube amp would work even better with the Merlins...Regards,Joerg
Change the plugs or use a converter ? Using a converter is not a good idea. If you use an extension bar then I would get one with US style sockets and just get a Swiss plug compatible cord for the extension bar. Then you can use all US power cords for your system without extra convert...
Any active/passive preamps with penny & giles pot? I have one in my system right now, the HORCH 1.2 P&G (the penny & giles pot is an option). The preamp is active solid state including phonostage. No remote function. I am still a bit in shock that this preamp sounds better than my 3 times ...
Boltz CD racks? I have a double CD600, never used the wall brackets. The rack stands flush against a wall and stands so solid that I never had to worry about it falling over. Few racks can hold so many CDs and I am happy with mine.Joerg
Best One Country System? OK, too many choices so I am sure other people would not agree with everything, but if I got to pick just what I wanted from Germany it would be:- Transrotor Gravita Record Player- Lindemann 820 CD/SACD- Tidal Preos Preamp, Impact power amp- Tidal...
Sergio Mendez, what album title for this song? hardware or software: which is more imprtant ? I would think that a good recording is more important than the hardware when looked at in extremes (=if the recording is way below todays standard in quality it ruins everything). I must say however that for current CD or SACD releases I can happi...
BLUE NOTE STIBBERT TUBED IMPROVED The Bluenote Stibbert sounds very good. I had in my system for a couple of months while my Esoteric player was modified. The Bluenote could well be the player of choice depending on system synergy. Very smooth and togther sounding.
Best spot for my rack. There are only 2 ways in my opinion that work well to position the rack between the speakers:1) have very low racks that keep all the equipment clearly below the height of the tweeter and midrange of your speakers2) have enough space behind the sp...
What is your favorite speaker wood or veneer? Well tastes and styles change a bit over time with the up to date style for room furniture I think. I also noted that speaker manufacturers sometimes roll out a new veneer style with a new line to put emphasis on the new speakers with a fresh appe...
sonic signature of Pure Note Paragon Question I am using the Paragon enhanced in my system and have compared it in the XLR connection with Nordost Valhalla from my esoteric dv-50 to the preamp. The Valhalla is impressive and for the same amount as the pure note paragon it would have been a cl...
Isolation platform for my Esoteric DV-50S I use the SAP Relaxa + under my DV-50. I am really happy with the performance. Sound is more focus and transients cleaner with the SAP in place. You might be able to get one used for the price.

Using US plug power cables in 220V Shuko areas Well, you can just get an extension bar instead of a power conditioner. Take a look at:http://www.psaudio.com/products/juicebar.aspfor an example. This would allow you to use a good cable that fits your country wall socket and then US style power ...
Using US plug power cables in 220V Shuko areas Hi,I suggest that you do not use individual adapters for each cord. Either re-terminate with quality plugs that fit for your country (can still be cheaper than buying new vs used), or get a US extension cord with the number of sockets you need, th... |
