How come there is no thread on the RealityCheck? Based upon the rewritten CD's that I have tried, I believe it is just jitter in the pits of the original. If the data is transferred to a computer hard disk and then rewritten by a burner with a precision low-jitter clock and clean power, such as ...

new updates in transports or are they obsolete ? new updates in transports or are they obsolete ? "will hard drive playback capture the transports "delicate" sonic signature"Absolutely, but with even more clarity.- will play back on a pc be better coming coming off the hard drive after transferred since there is suppoose to less jitter ?Playba...
new updates in transports or are they obsolete ? Semi - I just leave my laptop on all the time. It has power saving modes for the CPU and screen. Just touch the touch pad and you are up and running playing songs. Much quicker than turning on a CD player and loading a CD, and I dont have to get u...
new updates in transports or are they obsolete ? Kana - I have been using a heavily modded Sony DVP-S7700 with the same DAC. It performs better than anything stock, including CEC, which I also mod.
Audiophile USB to PCM Edsilva - have you had much trouble with pops and ticks with ASIO and Foobar? Is it the ASIO .dll or ASIO4ALL?
new updates in transports or are they obsolete ? Mikesinger - every show that I exhibit at (CES and RMAF) has my demo of computer audio versus Transport (modded, including Superclock3) and everyone that listens to this A/B hear the improvement with computer driven audio.Pros and cons:Pros:1) no ...
Audiophile USB to PCM Edsilva - I found the Edirol UA-25 to be fairly good, but great after I modded it. I only used the Edirol in "advanced" mode to output 24/96, which uses a custom driver on the PC rather than the windows driver, which is terrible. If the Wavetermin...
Audiophile USB to PCM Kfreichen - the modded Transit is a product that I sell. It has a modified Superclock3, improved power, including Black Gates and the Toslink is replaced with coax output. I chose the Transit because it has some of the best drivers, does not requi...

How come there is no thread on the RealityCheck? I met Gary Koh at RMAF in October in Denver. Nice guy. He even gave me some black CD's to try. I am purchasing a CD writer that he recommended and I'm planning to mod it with Superclock3 and battery power, as well as digital mods. CD's written wit...
new updates in transports or are they obsolete ? Look for a White-Paper that I wrote on positive-feedback.com that explains why computer driven audio done well will always beat a conventional transport. Why waste good money on a transport?
Audiophile USB to PCM "At the moment, what you suggest seems like the way to go: PC card outputting upsampled digital via AES/EBU, with card driven by DAC wordclock."The problem with PC add-in cards is the PC power supply and grounding. The external box will be quieter...
Audiophile USB to PCM No, I use ASIO .dll with Foobar and the Transit drivers. I upsample to 24/96 using SRC. I've tried other sample rates, including 88.2. They just dont sound as good as SRC at 24/96, particularly piano, which sounds very live. |
