Moved from medium attic like room to larger room, everything is too bright
To everyone who wrote to me about this issue. HUGE thanks. Very grateful and plan to implement many of the (most doable) changes including rug pads and more art. Special thanks to @bobpyle who introduced the psychological element. Funny because by...

@erik_squires You are probably right. I am in denial because I know that my partner will not tolerate further room changes... 😑. Thanks, Nadine
Can I have two amp outputs from Lumin T2?
@maxwave Going to try the usb out from the Lumin. That way, I user the Lumin’s superior DAC. Thx
Can I have two amp outputs from Lumin T2?
@lordmelton @maxwave  Truthfully I do have a separate headphone amp in a different room (Mytek liberty DAC II) but was hoping to integrate another (unpurchased)  HP amp into my main system. The Hegel does have a DAC so think I could just use RCA o...
Can I have two amp outputs from Lumin T2?
@maxwave Thanks so much for these links. I’m guessing that the gold pt will allow me to avoid the problem of having both balanced and unbalanced outputs out of the T2. Thx again.
Nad M33 vs Hegel H390... old question with a bit of a twist (ethernet and headphones)
Actually the L82s sounded amazing with the H390s. They definitely punched above their weight. I ended up getting the KLH model five speakers and they actually sound pretty good too! Especially since I added a pair of REL subwoofers. Good luck!
Headphone amp + DAC + Volume + ROON READY
@yyzsantabarbara Thanks so much for this. Based on your multiple generous responses to the OP, I have reached out to Small Green Computers - which puts together some Sonore packages. Honestly my headphones are probably not good enough warrant the ...
Headphone amp + DAC + Volume + ROON READY
Hi guys, I know that this is an elderly thread but when I googled my question, it kept coming up. Long story short: I am a roon user. Normally I listen in our TV room where my speakers, amp, Lumin T2, subwoofers etc are located. But sometimes that...
What DAC upgrade made you say “DAMN, that sounds SO MUCH better than my last DAC”?
LUMIN T2. I am a relative beginner as well. I started using the stock DAC on the Hegel H390 but wanted something more. That *Damm, that’s good* feeling. Quite a few folks on the Roon forum had mentioned the Lumin T2. I live in a relatively remote ...
any suggestions on what to replace Bluesound Node 2i with
OP, just to chime in. I went from using the Hegel H390 as a DAC and streamer to using the T2. OMG, what a difference. Even before I broke in the Lumin T2, the SQ was breathtaking. Suddenly I could hear each instrument unfold separately while at th...
Will line conditioner do anything for the other receptacle in a duplex?
@millercarbon could you recommend a brand. I would like to try one, starting with just one receptacle. Thanks!
Wow. Just added the Lumin T2 to my set up...
@builder3 It is really true what they say... break it in for two weeks. I have been running mine to my amp (which is off) 24/7 for a week. The improvement is amazing. Going to keep it running for another 2 weeks as one poster said that it really n...
Stacking subs
Guys, hiI am way more ignorant about subs than anyone here. BUT want to ask a related question. My speakers are low on bass but do (technically) reach down to 40Hz. Would I get better bass and a richer sound by adding one or two subwoofer? Running...
Townshend Seismic Isolation Podium Platform Review:
@ozzy This is super helpful. This review makes me think that maybe I should start with the Townshend platforms before making speaker changes. Ta.
Nad M33 vs Hegel H390... old question with a bit of a twist (ethernet and headphones)
@mike_in_nc so agree about listening before buying. I listened to the Hegel H390 and am completely happy with it. But wished I had not bought the KLH model 5 speakers without listening. Don’t get me wrong: they are amazing speakers for $3K CDN but...
