If you are handy with audio equipment, i.e., feel comfortable opening up the can and replacing parts, then the "old" factor is much less of ...

Jeff Rowlands Amp and Dac vs. VAC amp and DAC @rinpoche You are in for a great treat--the Aeris+Corus+PSU combo is very good at the beginning and superb after the burn in is completed. I run my combo with JR M925s and couldn't be happier with the results.Enjoy!Al

Too Much Music: A Failed Experiment In Dedicated Listening I'm glad this guy did the math to determine if he can live long enough to listen to everything he owns. He can't. We all should do that math.

How do SVS subwoofers compare to REL? +1 two subs much better than one. I can't help on the SVS v. REL comparison. I own two REL R-328 subwoofers and am happy with how they respond in a 16x20x10 room that has a stair case that leads into it with a 20 foot ceiling above the stair case....
HI-FI NEWBIE NEEDS HELP! I second the statement that more power is better than less power and that power on the used market is much more affordable than buying new. Buy more power than you need is my advice.
RMAF vs AXPANO @nasaman Please see the link below regarding AXPONA. I attended AXPONA last year for the first time and beforehand asked what I could expect. I got great answers that turned out to be almost exactly correct. https://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/...

Please recommend a PreAmp for my 5.1 home theatre system I suggest an Anthem AVM-60. I think it is $3K new and can sometimes be found here used. Importantly, it has ARC built in, which is fairly easy to use, and can make a dramatic improvement in SQ especially in rooms that are not acoustically treated.... |
