Jeff Rowland Pre with Pass Labs X350.5 or X600.5
A recent discussion on the Tape Loop or Accessory Loop subject with Mr. Jeff Rowland suggests it exists in the Synergy and Coherence preamps. If a CD player is connected to Input 1, the fixed level Rec output of that CD signal via Input 1 can be r...
Jeff Rowland Pre with Pass Labs X350.5 or X600.5
Hi AudiopathI appreciate your response regarding the Synergy 2i with the Pass Labs pwr amps. Infact - a laid-back easy going sound approach is what I'm looking for with an Accuphase's new DP-700 SACD/CD player as a source. Another reason for optin...
How good is Accuphase DP-700 SACD/CD Player

Thanks Tvad for pointing me towards Raquel for more info.
Jeff Rowland Pre with Pass Labs X350.5 or X600.5
A preamp's output impedance (Unbal or Bal) of less than 150 ohms going into a power amp's input impedance (Unbal or Bal) of 20,000 ohms is very, very acceptable & considered a good match.Question is how do Rowland preamps sound with Pass power...
Jeff Rowland Pre with Pass Labs X350.5 or X600.5
Thanks for all your posts. Can someone tell me whether the Synergy 2i or the Coherence 2 with separate Rec outputs can be used as a tape loop for using a signal processor.
Accuphase P-7100 vs Pass Labs X350.5
Accu M1000 monos at 1000 watts @ 8 ohms, 1800 watts @ 4 ohms - not enough for 802?
Pass Aleph 1.2s.... Anyone familiar
Having gone thru the above posts and am infact an owner of the mighty 1.2s, I can only add that the overall musically of the this amp amazes me everytime. I use them with B&W 802s and sometimes 801s. My Accuphase DP-75V CDP drives the amp dire...
ML 390S vs dCS Verdi/Purcell/Elgar Plus
If you own 8000+ CDs, I would strongly recommend you the Accuphase DP-75V CD player. Results indicate that the Accuphase player is way smoother than the dCS gear which is slightly "analytical" as dCS people have been closely working with studio en...
Recommended integrated for B&W 802?
Devsung:The Matrix 802 S2 need current drive for dual woofers, voltage drive for the fabulous mid, so the amp/integrated has to have muscle. But, these speakers are also quite efficient and can be driven well with 30watts or so. But, as the speake...
"Warm" CD player...on a budget.
If thats the idea, look no further than the most cost effective NAD classic series C541. Its a warm player, 24bit, has good componentry inside and has adequate features, simple, no fuss unit and quite well made. The pricing is also excellent.
Great cd players that can connect directly to a power amp?
Cornfedboy & Kirk930:Accuphase's honco had always argued & recommended that CD was not meant to be hooked directly to the poweramp inspite many people do so just because its got a higher level output. Its ultimately a source and hence must...
Wadia, Audio Aero, Meridian, BAT and BOW
Badwisdom & Kenl:Yes - I just checked my friend's papers & its indeed $2800. It could be a special promotional offer to an under-developed country like India where I come from. Whatever it is, at this price, its a super deal!
Wadia, Audio Aero, Meridian, BAT and BOW
Badwisdom,A dear audiophile friend of mine recently ordered his Capitole 24/192 unit directly fromthe factory and as we live in India, the fac export price that was quoted was $2800. I know this may sound crazy but it is a fact that I can share. M...
B W Matrix 805s vs Nautilus 805s
Matrix series are warmer while the nautilus series are much more transparent, hence sound leaner. Its upto individual preferences. I'm using the matrix series and am mighty happy. Yes - I've been persuaded to changeover but have declined and it re...
