Does anyone have the schematic for the VTE-600DM?
Atma-Sphere Class D… Amazing
@tweak1  After seeing the ASR results of the Mytek Brooklyn Bridge II, I wouldn't have much hope that Mytek can produce a good GaN amp. Heck, they failed at their main product - a DAC!
Peachtree GaN 1 Beta
I'll wait for Technics to provide an integrated like their SU-G700 with more power, say 200W. I had that integrated but just lacked power for my Acoustats. Excellent however with their SB-C600 speakers.   Laptop with JRiver and USB is all I'll n...
Peachtree GaN 1 Beta
@donnylovely   "...complaining about some "issue" that no one cares about" Seriously? This is certainly something to care about, if you have any clue about amps. Until these new wonders can run my Acoustats, or any difficult load, they're not wo...
The revolution has begun!
First, one "non professional" reviewer saying the Gan1 beat his Holo setup is of little value to me. I want to see a real, professional review of this before considering this amp, including its response into 2-ohm loads and whether it's load depen...
Technics SU-G700 and Acoustats ?
Yes, but what about the reactive load of the Acoustat? Surely that makes a difference what with it being a class D amp.
Been intrigued by this power amp since it was introduced. Yes, another " D " thread.
I am sure you are aware of this review: https://www.tonepublications.com/review/review-the-lsa-warp-1-power-amplifier/ I contacted the publisher to inquire on which Acoustats the reviewer used with the Warp, as I also use Acoustats. The reviewe...
A pair of Acoustat's with a TNT 200 but what is the best speaker cables?
If you can place the amp close to the speakers, then copper foil inductors and Saran Wrap. Unwind the foil, make two strips, terminate them with spades and wrap each with Saran Wrap to prevent shorts. Look it up on the old Apogee forum. Works fa...
FEDEX keeps destroying my New CARY 805RS Monoblocks - What can I do to prevent Nightmare?
Cary shipping Ground?! Pathetic! I always use freight for heavy items for business, palletized of course. Insurance is very cheap at 0.5-1.0% of value. Also, if you notice the slightest damage on the box/crate ALWAYS mark the driver's document "...
GaN Amp & Speaker Popping Sound At Power On
I know my Apogee ribbons would not like that pop! It should be corrected.I agree with leaving it on all the time. My H2O is so recommended and so are other class-D's.
GaN based SU-R1000 Technics Integrated Class-D, review by TAS
George, you are pathetic:1. You are accusing AGD with blatantly lying as to delivering 32A. This is easily verified. There is no way a reputable manufacturer would risk claiming so if it were not so.2. You did not read from Alberto's mouth that hi...
Stock Voyager GaN amp (350/600) Contrasted with my EVS1200 (600/1200)
I think you confused what I meant. All I meant is higher switching speeds is/are a big dealNo, I understood what you mean. I am saying it's NOT a big deal if the rest of the design is "optimal". AGD is closest to optimal, so far. Obviously, there'...
Stock Voyager GaN amp (350/600) Contrasted with my EVS1200 (600/1200)
@tweak1: switching speed is a BFD Then how do you explain AGD's Audion at only 400kHz - at least the first gen? Granted, it's now at 800kHz in its second gen but the first gen is universally praised for SQ.I've said it in other threads: Alberto ha...
GaN based SU-R1000 Technics Integrated Class-D, review by TAS
Oh dear...from WhatHiFi: Regardless of source – analogue or digital – we notice that the SU-R1000 doesn’t have the most expansive soundstage. Its presentation isn’t cluttered exactly, but there’s a definite lack of space around sounds and inst...

We are seriously off topic!Let's wait for tweak1 to get us back on it.
