Universal Remotes for hifi components? you could always get a learning remote? You shot the IR commands at the learning remote, assign the code to a button, and presto - a learning remote. Home theater maseter, harmony, marantz, philips pronto, etc make some. http://www.remotecentral.com/

Can I run a Pre/Pro thru a Pre-Amp without by-pass You would just adjust the volume on the pre/pro? Even without a HT-bypass, just set the analog preamp to a repeatable position, then adjust the levels of the L+R relative to center+rears on the pre/pro. Then anytime you need to adjust movie volume...
The best CD Player for the money The AA digital gear is no longer competitive. Even at their current used price points.
How much does your system retail for? $7965 retail, paid $4285. I'm starting over just like slappy. This is just to tide me over until I can find out what direction I'd like to pursue next. For now I'm just enjoying the good tunes I my new (to me) house.
